Heat Mat first time user
I bought two seed-starter heat mats around 3/1/2019. Plugged them in today for first time. Both are heating the seed trays well into the 80 degree Fahrenheit range. I use a digital soil temperature gauge to check on soil temp. My problem is that there are NO "operator instructions" in or on the box; just a bunch of legal/safety info. No info as to how many hours each day the mat should be working or how hot the pad will make the soil. Seems like this could actually be a safety issue if the mat has not been designed to only heat up to a maximum predetermined temperature (example 80 degrees). Is unplugging the mat the only way to control soil temperature??

Not Much in the way of User Info
Bought one of these a couple years ago, didn't get around to actually opening it 'till today. As others have suggested there's little to no real 'user info' of any practical kind included. Nothing about temps produced - other than a graphic sowing range of temps appropriate for germinating some kinds of seeds - certainly nothing about controlling temp. produced. Oh they do tell you to keep it in plain sight and not to use unattended, so I guess the idea is to put it where you can keep an eye on it 24/7 in case it starts smokin'?
Be nice (an a better VALUE) if there was some indication whether or not a thermostat inside that limits temps produced to say, 70-75°F., high enough for just about any seeds most folks would want to get started early.

Excellent heating pad for germinating seeds!
Love this heating pad. I've been able to start some of my seeds early this year as opposed to buying more seedlings from local organic farmers. The heating pad had most of my seeds–in tandem with grow lights–germinating within 2-5 days. My only wish is that they extremely large ones to fit under more pots. This one fits a regular size seedling tray (in which I put 18 three-inch pots).
Yes, I recommend this product.

Careful Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a heat mat to help promote a higher number of peat pellet seedling pods, the mat heats too much in the middle, and gives the right amount of heat on the edges. I switched the pods around so the middle pods wouldn’t die though it was extra work. The ones I didn’t switch had a huge grow rate disparity as well as duds.

Must haves

All the products I have purchased this spring were top of the shelf and without them my garden would have been a bad memory. I have a abundant of plants to put in my garden and all ahead of the summer heat. Thank you for your product and I will use them for many years to come
.
Yes, I recommend this product.

No instructions included
I am in agreement with the others. No instructions given . My seeds have quickly sprouted, but what do I do next. I have myself googling to look for helpful information. For the price of the mat there should be instructions includeds.

No temperature control
There’s no way (that I found) to change the temperature on this heating mat - it’s either on or off. Given that the product description shows a temperature range, I expected to be able to select a temperature…?
Yes, I recommend this product.

We strive to have the best quality product at the most affordable price. With feedback from consumers such as you, we feel we can achieve this goal together. In looking up the product, it seems to be a self-maintain its temperature. So the 70-85 degree stated is just a general idea of where to expect the temperature of the mat.
Please let us know if we can contact you directly about your feedback.

Great product!

Well, it just works really well. I just got a crop of basil coming up. Seems to be a good temperature, not too hot, but comfy. I bought two so am looking forward to early April to get the garden started.
Yes, I recommend this product.
