[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving the Iams cat food, I immediately opened the bag to transition into our cat's meal. I first put the Iams food in his bowl and then got his usual cat food to mix in. By the time I got back to his bowl, he had almost finished all of the Iams food. He seemed to enjoy the Iams food and was definitely looking for more. The next few days we transitioned his food to almost 100% Iams. He did not seem to mind the transition to Iams and he always finishes his bowl of food.

My cat has been eating Iams for years without a problem. Then you change the formula and it made her sick. Poor kitty was throwing up after eating it, and then wouldn't go near her food again. Ended up switching brands and she seems to be doing better. I was looking at other reviews on this brand and a lot of people were complaining about the same thing regarding cats vomiting after eating the new formulated food. You need to recall this batch or change the formula back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat is pretty finicky when it comes to food. She normally only prefers canned food and doesn't pay much attention to the dry food. I decided to give Iams Proactive Health a try. At first she seemed hesitant to try...but now it's what she craves. I now only give her canned food once a week and Iams the rest of the week. I will definitely continue to buy this product. So relieved to finally have found a cat food that not only promotes her health, but she actually enjoys it!

Lifetime eaters

I have six cats, and my oldest is now 14 1/2. She just had her senior blood test profile run, and is in excellent health; all parameters are great. She is a lifetime IAMS Original with chicken eater. The rest of my cats also are on IAMS.
The oldest cat I had lived to 15 1/2, before succumbing to complications from thyroid disease. She was always on IAMS, and didn't look anywhere near her age.
My cats are free fed, and maintain their weight, and are all in great health.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Iams chicken flavor cat food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As you can see, these fat cats don’t miss a meal. I have always fed them the seafood flavor, but they really seem to enjoy the Iams chicken flavor cat food too. The scent isn’t as strong smelling as the seafood flavor when I opened the bag. They didn’t hesitate to eat this flavor either. I like the 22 lb bag size because I feed these two inside cats and occasionally I have two strays that also come and eat outside my door. This size bag will last for quite a while.

She's a pretty picky cat; she tried and liked this immediately! I love the fact she loves to eat it and that she's getting a nutritionally-awesome meal each time. This is great choice for cat food, especially as Iams is so easy to find in pet supply stores, discount and grocery stores. Check it out and see what your picky cat thinks too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough good about this cat food. I was skeptical at first as I have a big picky orange cat. He lives outside and since I started feeding him this iams food hr has become my alarm clock. Every mornkng now he incessantly meooows at the door for his breakfast. I can tell he enjoys it because he eats until the bowl is gone! With prior food he would throw up a loy. However since trying this food he not only has stopped but he is certainly more frisky!!

Porter loves Iams Proactive Health Adult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm now on my second bag of Iams Proactive Health for my cat. He never needed the transition, which really surprised me, and has been loving it since the first scoop. I know because it is an Iams product that it is healthy and well balanced and I appreciate the fiber blend which seems to have reduced some of his digestive issues.Porter is normally a picky eater (I don't know how many other brands I have thrown out), but he loves the chicken flavor of this formula. I like that the formula is designed to help him burn fat and give his metabolism a boost and he seems to be actually eating more evenly throughout the day instead of bolting down half a bowl as soon as it is filled.
As I mentioned, we are now on his second bag and I am very satisfied with it. Iams Proactive Health Original Blend is definitely a winner in Porter's book.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a hit with the 4 legged variety in my home! Even thr dog tried to get to it.
As soon as it hit her bowl the first day and it continues, she has enjoyed this food. She has yet to give me that look, that she sometimes gives me after a week of dry foods. She is sorta particular.
She has not had any hairballs when she has been on this and seems to not even be shedding as much as she usallly does and that is a huge plus.
This is a big hit with us!!!

He is now 12 years old and most people don't believe me when I tell them how old he is because he looks so young and healthy. He also loves all of the Iams flavors. My cat has also always maintained a healthy weight on this Iams cat food. I would highly recommend to any cat owner. The price is also very affordable and the bags come in many different sizes and flavors tailored to specific needs.

My cats are happy with their Iams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always liked Iams and it's one of the two brand that my vet has recommended to use over the years. My cats seem to really enjoy the taste and the nutritional value seems better than most other brands, we have also noticed that they are no longer couching up hair balls so I'm assuming the food has helped with that. Both of our calts are at an ideal weight and they have a healthy coat and teeth. I will continue to use the IAMS Pro Active brand for all our pets.
I would suggest taking a before picture of your pet before switching their food to IAMS then after a few months take another one and compare their weight, coat, teeth etc. You may be pleasantly suprised to see the differents in results. I also like that they have a weight control and hairball formula.
I would and have recommended this brand of food to family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a entire bag of Iams Proactive health from the Iams company. I began trying the Iams proactive health by mixing in with the old food. When I went to feed again I notice that only the Iams would be gone. The cats were picking through the food in search of the Iams and leaving the old kibble. Guess my kitties were trying to tell me something. Even the feral cats in my neighborhood love the Iams I set out for them. Seems like a great product.

Bag opening problem

My cat had been eating Hills Science Diet during and after I adopted her...she loved it. Problem was my local market doesn't carry Hills products so I grabbed a bag of your Proactive Health and now she doesn't want to eat the Hills brand. The problem I have is that it's very hard to open the stupid bag...never seen another pet food bag that was so badly designed. I'm afraid she is going to be forced to eat the Hills Science Diet in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture is just one of my kitties. They all eat up the Iams before eating their can food which before was their treat. I like that the first ingredient is chicken and not corn meal. The other dry food I used before has corn meal as the first ingredient and it is NOT a cheap brand. But the cats can tell the difference. Besides the package, the food itself looks like good quality food. Glad we had chance to try it and will definitely buy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cat Hank is very picky but when I introduces Iams cat food he seemed to not get enough..must be the great taste of the crunchy kibbles that he likes the most...he not waits to be fed not like before when we had to coax him to eat.
Told my sister about the Iams cat food for her picky kitty also gave her a sample and was pleasently supprised..She is going to buy some for her kitty Sammy.Thank-you for allowing us to sample this fine product!

Iams is the only brand for my cat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my cat Snuggles so much and only want the best for her. I adopted her 16 years ago from an animal shelter. She was in terrible shape when she was brought in. I nursed her back to health and she has not stopped purring since. She is 17 years old now and is still going strong. I like to think that Iams is to thank for this. She is a very happy cat that loves to see me walk in the door after work because she knows it is dinner time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My bengal cat loves this stuff! If her bowl is even remotely low she will claw and scratch at the bag until we fill her bowl. SO I guess that's a thumbs up for flavor. She is an outdoor cat and seems to have no lack of energy- another plus. Her coat seems a bit more shiny, which could be due to the food, or the weather. Since our bzzkit came we have purchased another bag and she still loves it. Can't wait to let her try other flavors.

She hopes that I forget to lock itr and she will get all of it. So, Yes: She likes it and I had no problem at all to switch her to IAMS®. She is finicky and I was happy that this food easily pleased my picky cat. Must be a really good for her.

When we first received the bag in the mail I began mixing the Iams in with the brand of dry food I was currently feeding them. Right away I noticed that my cats were actually picking out the Iams and leaving the other food in the bowl. Every time they hear me filling their bowl they come running. It's great to know that I can feed my cats a nutritious food that they truly enjoy. I'll be buying Iams from now on.

Our little cat does not like any dry food. She has sniffed and turned her nose up at everything I have bought for her. Finally we tried this Iams and she sniffed it, then licked a few pieces. I left it in her bowl and by the next day she was crunching away. So happy! The ProActive line will be our new go-to cat and dog food!

Also my cat has a very sensitive stomache where she throws up everything. I opened the bag and she came running from the smell of the cat food. She ate everything up wanting more and it was the first cat food she could actually digest. The bag is now finished and I actually went out and bought more a+++++

Packaging is shelf stable so can be stored for quite a while, and it’s quite a big bag of food for the price. Definitely one of the better dry kibbles out there and smells really natural. If you’re looking for a higher quality kibble I would definitely suggest purchasing this!

Years ago,I had a golden persian.I was told 2feed him Iams bc it wont stick 2his butt-hairs.(true indeed)For 13yrs he only ate Iams (it was an orange bag, wasn't as many choices back then & was only sold @vets) &wet on occasions. A huge point was when I had2take him2 vet 4an abcess, @follow-up,his vet commented on how fast his hair grew back.Im glad I chose Iams! I now have a new calico kitten, and starting her on Iams kitten.

I adopted a cat from a rescue shelter, he was thin, shaved from all the matted hair, but the most affectionate cat you'd ever meet! I started giving him Iams after many attempts at other brands, he loved it dug right in and ate it all. Our other kitty who is a very picky eater also loved her Iams so it is now the only food we feed our cat family! Thank you Iams for making a healthy good to eat food food for picky felines!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my original chicken cat food sample form IAMS and have had time for my kitty to try it. As soon as i poured it in the bowl he started to gobble it up. He seems to really like the taste, and thats all he cares about. I love that the first ingrediant in the IAMS cat food is chicken. That makes me as a pet ower feel good about feeding it to my pet. I also like that it has a feeding guid on the bag that goes by weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mixed IAMs with Nigel's regular food and he's loving it. I even give him a handful of IAMs only as a treat. He's looking good and is even more peppy than usual.
He's been known to turn up his nose at new dry food, but not this time.
I'd highly recommend this, if you have a grocery-store-catfood junkie at home. Mix in IAMs and see what happens. I'm glad to know Nigel is getting more nutrients from a better quality food.

He came back several times to eat more. The packaging was really cute. Leo could smell the food through the bag and was very excited. It's a good value for your money. It's a high quality of food that Leo loves. We will continue to feed LEO IAMS because it's his new favorite. I highly recommend it.
