ProActive Health Healthy Adult cat food - Original

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Feeding my two kitties the Iams that I received via Bzzagent -- To start, impressed with the amount they provided as a sample. Generally they give you a small bag, not enough to get a real impression if they like it or not, or if it makes a difference in your pet. Iams and bzzagent provied a BIG bag. SO thank you! -- Secondly , I couldnt even open the bag without getting a ton of meow's and they tried to bombard me when i opened it.. they NEVER do that. As soon as I placed it in their bowls, they scarfed it up. Again, never do that with their old food. I have since replaced my old cat food with Iam's and my kitties have never been happier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually roll my eyes at the high-priced "quality" pet foods but, ever since Tucker, Olifur, and Parker made the switch, I roll no more! The royal triumvirate really took a liking to this food right away. We followed a progressive path until total switcheroo. At no point did I see change in eating or litter pan habits. Iams is definitely a trusted name, and this product makes claims that our kitts will be healthier. The only reason to pick something else is cost, right? I feel the same way. After Iams gave the boys and I a bag to try for free, and seeing their pleasure, the small increase is negligible. I recommend you try this meow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Healthy Weight dry food from Iams was something that my picky feline babygirl LOVES to eat fro dinner now. She left her wet food ( holy grail for my kitty ) to move on to this DRY food. Ia m amazed... but she loves it and I am so glad since it is something that will help her get her normal weight back on track. I have a senior kitty... and she is very picky in all ways and all things... especially when it comes to food. She also has hypothyroidism so she loves to constantly eat but unfortunately does not gain any weight or absorb the nutrients. This food will give her a better chance at getting back to a healthy weight again!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving our bag of Iams Proactive Health Adult Original with Chicken I slowly transitioned our cat, Spooky, to the new food as recommended. Spooky is a very picky cat and even though I slowly transitioned her she still refused to eat the new food and picked out her old food. She only ate the Iams when it was the only food in her bowl. But now that Iams is the only thing she receives she seems to like it alright. I have noticed that Spooky doesn't eat Iams as quickly as her old food. I gave it a three star rating because while Spooky seems to eat it alright now she doesn't seem to like it as much as her old cat food.

There is only one brand of treats he will eat and it's usually hit or miss whether he will like a different brand of food or not. I decided to first start by just putting a few pieces of Iams on the floor to see if he would eat it or turn his nose up to it. To my surprise he gobbled it down! He loved it! I am going to try to eventually alternate this food with his current food to give him more variety. I do wish this food helped with hair balls. His current food has that and it helps a lot considering he has lots of fur. That would be my only concern with the Iams at the moment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our transition to this food went very well, we were previously feeding our cats "Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Indoor™ Weight & Hairball Care" and we had no issues during the transition. The cats don't seem to really care that we swapped out their food, they seem to have the same amount of energy and satisfaction as with their previous food. We have one cat that has always loved dry food (we feed our cats twice per day, dry in the morning and wet for dinner), when we feed them wet food, he always eats a little of it and then goes back for more dry food. The ingredients list starts with real chicken as the primary protein, followed by wholesome grains like barley and sorghum, plus essential vitamins (A, E, and taurine). My feline friend's coat is shinier, and his energy levels have stayed consistent since switching. The scent is mild and meaty-appealing to him but not overwhelming for me. The packaging is resealable and sturdy, keeping kibble fresh. While priced slightly higher than generic brands, the value for money is justified by the quality and visible health benefits. My picky eater licks his bowl clean every time— definitely a win!

Ever since I was adopted by my American shorthair boy Marty, I've been concerned with feeding him a healthy diet. We tried the very expensive, exotic stuff from the pet store, because it was said to be very healthy. Well, Marty reacted to it about as well as I do tofu, which is also said to be very healthy - he wouldn't eat it. IAMS Original saved the day - Marty eats a healthy amount of it, without over-eating. When I call "Supper!" he RUNS to his bowl. His coat is great and his energy superb. IAMS costs a bit more than the other brands in my local store, but I feel the added cost is worth it, since Marty likes it and obviously has good muscle tone and a normal weight.
