My Cats LOVED this food!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are usually incredibly picky when it comes to their dry food. Whenever I try a new brand, I have to slowly mix it into their old food and slowly transition it just to see if they like it or not. I've been stuck feeding them the same food for quite awhile just because they wouldn't touch any other brand.
When i got the Iams ProActive Health cat food, I started the same way: by mixing a bit of it with their favorite dry food. Then over the coming days/weeks, I put more and more Iams, until they were only eating Iams. They haven't had a single issue since! I have noticed they even look a bit slimmer and have more energy! I love that I have finally found a new food for them that they not only love, but is healthy for them. This is definitely my new go-to food!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bag of this food free to try out from Iams. I have a 16 pound Tom Cat and I worry sometimes that he is a little overweight. Both of my cats absolutely love this food. The first night we got it they were scratching at the bag. They just knew what was inside was for them. They eat it up but they are eating less than the recommended amount on the bag. This worries me a little bit but the recommended amount does seem like a lot compared to their other food. There are alot less hairballs around my house too which is always a plus. I don't have carpet but they still make a mess. My larger cat has also stopped eating so much that he gets sick so I think this food makes him feel more full and satisfied. I am definitely adding this one to my cats feeding routine.

I love it but my cat doesn't

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the iams brand and usually my furry friends do as well but this time my kitty was not too happy with it. Usually my cat eats non stop but whenever I put the iams in his bowl he'll stick his nose up at it and walk away! I will say this though when he does eat it and sticks to it he has lost a hit of weight which is good because he could have rivaled Garfield lol. All I know is that I will keep trying to feed it to him but if he continues to seem unhappy with the taste I can't see me buying any more for him :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been wary of trying Iams brand products because I had heard that others' cats do not like it much. I had an impression of it being too healthy to taste good. But I was wrong! My two cats ate this up quite happily. We transitioned by putting about half of the Iams & half of their usual brand in the bowl, mixed together. My boys loved it & we quickly transitioned them to all Iams. I like knowing that they're eating a healthy, quality brand of cat food and they enjoy it too. Will definitely buy it going forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally have hesitation when switching my cat's food as I know it can mess up their digestive system but knowing the brand name - Iams made me feel better and that it was worth the try. This food is formulated perfectly for our adorable in home kitty, Shelby who def could use to lose some weight. She could not wait to try it! She has a new sense of energy while maintaining her girlish figure. I am sure after a month we will see some results though. I would definately recommend and buy this product in the future.

No More Hairballs

Our cat has long hair and has hairballs all year long. I was using a well known brand that I thought was good for her and its not too expensive. Well since she was throwing up alot of it and then eating again it ended up not being such a great deal and I had enough cleaning up hairballs (and whatever else came up). I decided to try the IAMS hairball remedy and not only did she love it, but she has not had one hairball since then. Its great. Its worth the little extra and she doesn't eat near as much as she used to.

Why did you change it?

You changed the look and formula of the food now my cat will only nibble at it. He really hates it. He normally is a really a really hearty eater. We've been feeding your food to our cats for years. He's started to lose weight. I do not want my cat to lose weight unless he really needs to and I decide to reduce his food intake. Sorry we will be changing foods. The only way he will eat it is if we wet down his food and mash it. Defeats the whole purpose of buying dry cat food which is better for his teeth. :( :( :(

I only feed him cat food that is AAFCO approved and Iams is! Iams is a name that I trust and feel really confident about giving my cat. I will be purchasing this in the future. I also appreciate that we were given a five pound bag to try, so that I can really get a feel for the product. Iams Pro Active Health has made one happy cat in our household and that puts a smile on my face.

I have not used the product. I use a vet recommended feeding system for my cat (excerciser food ball) and would love to use it with Iams food. The problem is that it only works with kibble of a certain shape and up to a certain size. I can't find any info on the bag or on the website to determine if this will work in my feeder. Would a pic on the bag really be so difficult? Other Iams foods I have used with my dogs have been great which is what I am basing my quality rankings on; my cat is missing out.

One cat I have likes them, another one could care less. The one that likes them is a treat whore for any type of treat though. They also spend hours hunting moths (and eating them) so these cats don't really have refined tastes. The treat whore, however, I like iams because the inner filling tends to encourage my cats to bite through the treat (which is better for their teeth) than swallow it whole. I like mixing up their treats though so I swap treat brands every new bag and don't stick to one flavor.

No more throw up cleaning

Hello IAMS people,
My poor fur baby was having food issues for a while. He will throw up often after eating. I tried different foods that promise to help but never did. Came across your product but was skeptical; price too high if it didn't work but still took a chance. I'm glad I did. Works good for my baby. Excellent, he loves it and no more throw ups. Thank you. Don't mind the higher price; it's well worth it. I totally recommend it. Keep up the good food. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I thought they MIGHT try the food but was not prepared for what happened next. They LOVED the food . At first, I couldn't believe how much they were eating and I thought the dogs might be helping themselves to the food also. I carefully watched the food and their eating habits and they genuinely LOVED the taste and ate it up. After being on the food for a few weeks I received my next unexpected surprise. I was petting the cats and their fur felt significantly different. It was softer and thicker than ever. This cat food was making a significant difference in their overall health and they love the taste. I will definitely be stocking up on this food once I run out. Thank YOu IAMS !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this product a few weeks ago and started offering it to our cat right away. She also gets wet food in the morning and evening, but we noticed she loved to snack on the Iams dry food during the day and at night. That is the first positive factor. The second one is that she didn't throw up after eating it. We tried a lot of different dry foods in the last 14 years and some just caused a lot of vomiting, Iams did not. So all in all: happy cat, happy cat mommy! Thank you for that great sample!

We were getting really close to finishing another cat food so I put some of the new cat food in with my old just to make the transition better. We are now giving our 2 cats this Iams Proactive Health cat food by itself and they are loving it!! I will buy another bag to see if they continue to enjoy it and if I see any improvements with the hairballs and any weight loss

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three indoor cats, and they like Iams Indoor Cat food, and I've noticed a big difference in the amount of hairballs I was cleaning up, they don't happen very much anymore. They like the size of the kibble, and they haven't gained any weight eating this cat food, and it doesn't have a lot of fillers in it, which makes me feel better about feeding them this kibble. I haven't noticed any stomach issues since switching them over to it, and normally they're fairly finicky, so that says a lot.

I give both of my cats this and when I tell you A) they love the flavor and B) THEY BARLEY HAVE HAIRBALLS!!! Listen I hate hairballs and stepping on a random hairball or walking and saying wth is that at something random on the floor lol. But when I tell you this cuts the hairball problem down by 90% I’m not kidding. I’ve found maybe 2 hairballs this year! And I have 2 cats! This formula is amazing!!!!! Apparently they changed the recipe for this cat food. My cat has been eating this diet for three years and never had a problem. My roommates cat began have horrible diarrhea anytime he snuck some of her food and my own cat began throwing up daily when the formula for this food changed. I only just realized it and after four days on the new diet she hasn't thrown up once. I would definitely NOT recommend this product to anyone especially if their cat has even the slightest bit of GI sensitivity.

My 3 cats are very picky when it comes to their food. You know you're always suppose to leave bowls full for them. Well the go on strike it's a good they do not want. Not just one not 2 Oh No All 3 They will pick at my dogs food and not eat at all untill I get them this specific food. They have not maintained their weight all 3 are obese. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my cats love this cat food. It definitely keeps their hairballs under control and they’re weight maintained. The only one that cannot eat. This is my long-haired calico because she’s allergic to chicken. My other cat eat it up like mad I do like that. The first ingredients is chicken. I don’t really care that it has byproduct milk or corn, gluten milk but other than those ingredients everything else seems good most of all my cats eat it without getting sick. and they really enjoy the flavor.

I've tried other types of Iams cat food, but this time I'm trying out the ProActive Health™ Adult Indoor™ Weight & Hairball Care cat food from Iams. First off, this is the one hairball care cat foods that actually works. So far, in the two plus weeks I've been feeding it to my two cats, they've had significantly less hairballs then what they usually have. Also, my older cat has a problem with eating too fast and throwing up. With Iams small pieces, she doesn't have problems with throwing up. The best part about ProActive Health™ Adult Indoor™ Weight & Hairball Care cat food, is that my cats love it and it's good for them. I will definitely continue to buy and use this Iams cat food, even after this bag is finished.

We have been using Iams Indoor Weight & Hairball Care dry food for about two years, and so far, it has been working pretty well.
Myy Twinkie boy isn't a huge fan of the flavor. He will go and snack on it when he knows I'm not going to give into his cries for treats.
Since starting this formula, I have noticed an improvement as far as hairballs go. They are much less frequent now and only seem to happen when the seasons change (but daily brushing has helped a bunch with that now as well).

I use the measure cup for the two babies and they ate all the food very fast, then they went to sleep. I think they got very full and also it helps for the hairball issue, this is a plus because one of my cats is long haired so she need this food. They are in love with this food and I think I will be buying more frequently in my pet store. I will definitely recommen this food to any cat.

Unfortunately they have been putting on a little extra weight recently. This Iams Proactive dry food is meant for indoor cats to manage weight and hairballs. It is early to tell if their weight is improved on this food but they seem to love it! This food is affordable and accessible at most major retailers. We will continue trying this and see if we get results long term.

My cats crave IAMS; urinary tract formula needed

My 3 cats all love IAMS dry food, which I have been feeding for the two females for about a year now, but the male needs a urinary tract formula, which IAMS does not offer. A competitor does, but my tomcat is not fond of it and instead prefers to eat from the adjacent IAMS bowl. Hence I would be an eager buyer if IAMS would add a urinary tract health formula to its product line that is as appealing to cats who need it as the existing Hairball Care and Indoor dry formulas seem to be.

We feed all three of them the same food, and they all LOVE it! When they hear the bag shake, they come running from wherever they are to get some. One of our cats is a little grumpy and doesn't like the other two, but at feeding time, anything goes! They hear that bag and they all come together, rubbing up against each other, and everyone is happy-- until their bowls are empty. They love this food!

I'm really surprised at the negative reviews. I'm wondering if these people read labels. I read them very carefully because healthy food means healthy animals and less vet bills. Sometimes you have to sacrifice flavor for health. If you started out buying brands with all the yummy additives it will be tough to switch over. You will need to add little bits at a time to change over. I have had to do this with my dogs and horses! If IAMS is changing the ingredients hopefully it is to make a healthier food. My cat is happy, healthy and looks amazing. The only thing I question in this cat food is the corn. Is it good for them? I rescued my cat with intentions on giving her away, so she started on cheap food. No problems switching to this. She's been on it for 2 years now. She is active, happy and hilarious!

She also has a sensitive stomach to a lot of food I try and buy. She throws up her meal a lot but ever since I started using the IAMS WEIGHT & HAIRBALL CARE, she has not thrown up ONCE. I have noticed the food seems to disappear fast as well. My younger car is overweight. I am curious as she continues to eat this product, if she will show signs of weight loss. Only time will tell!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always bought Hill’s for my cat and was hesitant to try something new but I’ve integrated it into her other food and she has taken a liking to it ( unfortunately she wouldn’t sit to pose for a pic) the formula seems good not an over the top list, no hairballs her stools are normal ( yes I think that is telling and important to note) as some foods will give pets upset stomach. I think this is a fair food option and I’d buy it again if I wasn’t able to locate her usual food.

When the food arrived I set the bag out for the kitties and of course they were all nosy and all over it. When I first started the transition to the new food, you could tell they were very excited. I slowly changed them over from their current (non Iams) kibble to the Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Indoor™ Weight & Hairball Care. The transition went smoothly and honestly, I think the cats are happier with this product. I am always hesitant to purchase weight control products because as with humans, it never seems to taste good. This is obviously not the case with the Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Indoor™ Weight & Hairball Care. I am glad that my kitties were able to participate in and enjoy this campaign. It looks like they will be enjoying this new food now.
