One Week in...
I've tried several different so-called remedies for my indoor, spayed kitty's weight problem. Her skin is very dry and she is too fat to groom herself.
Saw this advertised on TV, bought it 8 days ago, started her on it...She is a very finicky eater but she guzzled this down. I can already see a difference. Her coat seems sleeker and her belly is not so low to the ground.
She has a long way to go but she's not even nagging me to feed her 24/7. She has the recommended amount and she seems satisfied.
I think she'll be at a much healthier weight in a few months on this food. I am hoping the weight loss will keep her with me longer.
Glad I bought it!

Great hairball & weight control in a large bag!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats have always loved Iams brand foods, so receiving this to try was great. The kibble pieces are a bit rounder than their usual bag, but they have had no issues being able to eat them. They have enjoyed the flavor which is as great as my girls can be very picky. One of my cats is getting older so having weight care food really does help keep her from gaining anything too much extra. And I have noticed that it really has helped with both cats hairball issues. They have had few to none since switching to this food. It's also a very large bag that lasts us a long time at an affordable price. We will switch to this Iams bag/flavor going forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm extremely satisfied with the IAMS PROACTIVE HEALTH Adult Indoor Weight Control & Hairball Care Dry Cat Food! My indoor cat has been thriving on this kibble, and I've noticed a significant reduction in hairballs and shedding. The weight control formula has also helped her maintain a healthy weight, which has improved her overall energy and mobility. The chicken and turkey flavor is a hit with my cat, and I love that it's made with high-quality protein sources and no fillers or artificial preservatives. Overall, I highly recommend this food to any indoor cat owner looking for a nutritious and effective solution for their pet's health!

I've been using this for a few years, with good results. So when my 5-6 year old cat started vomiting everywhere and having diarrhea, I didn't even think to suspect the food, because the bag looked the same as always. A month and a half of trying to figure out the problem, and I finally thought to look into the food, thinking maybe I had bought expired bags, or it was moldy, or whatever. Come to find out, the formula has changed, without any indication on the packaging other than the addition of turkey and greens in the tiny blue strip. Thanks for causing unnecessary distress and weight loss to my cat, ruined rugs, and wasted time.

Great taste and cats like it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both cats took to it immediately. I didn't even have to mix it with their old food. I also love that it is suppose to treat hair balls as my one cat has had hair balls in the past. I used the key chain to put some of the food in sort of a game for the cats and they went right for it. No problem switching over. The first thing I look for is ingredients and make sure protein is the first thing on the list. That was, then I try and look at other ingredients and make sure they are words I understand not chemicals.
I also make sure there are no artificial colors in it. The more natural it is the more I like it. It seemed to fit all of this so I give it a plus

The only dry food for my cats

We're on cats numbers 3, 4 and 5. First cat lived 18 years eating regular Iams, but we switched to this formula when we got long haired kitties in the house. Our youngest absolutely loves this food, and when a new bag is opened (we put it in a sealed plastic container) he is literally climbing inside the bag to make sure none was missed. Lately the commissary stopped carrying it for some reason, but I was happy to find an online distributor that offers it at a good price and free shipping. I saw a comment here about "larger size", and have no idea what the author is referring to... please tell me you're not changing this product!
Yes, I recommend this product.

They Love It!
I have three cats. Sean and Marlon are the older brothers at 16 years old and Summer is our "Little Girl" who is 5 years old. The boys started out on another food until they were about 3 years, I changed to Iams because the vet said they were a little heavy and I thought they were somewhat sluggish. I started them on Iams and Weight Control and they did lose weight and became more active with very few hairball issues. When Little came along we started her on kitten Iams and graduated her to the same food when she was about 1.5. They love this food and they are so healthy and active. I think it's great that I can feed them all the same food with no problems.

My cat pulls out her hair and over-grooms so she is always very likely to get bad hair balls and constipation. This food helps prevent it. And she likes it! My big complaint is that Iams uses corn grits, whole grain corn, and corn gluten meal. Cats are obligate carnivores and this is a cheap filler food that has no nutritional value. It is a common allergy for cats and it can contribute to long term weight gain and obesity. It is also very difficult for their short digestive tracts to digest. I’ll feed her this food if it’s the only one I can get, but when given the option I prefer to feed her high-quality ingredient food.
