I agree with every other negative reviews. In 3 years of owning this blower it has spent a full winter at the shop waiting for parts (It was the only winter it did not break down). 3 belts have been destroyed, underpower and unreliable. Will never buy another Husqvarna equipment. Thay got me with their reputation and lost me with there product. Wish I would of reviewed the product first.

Sadly I would not buy this product again.

I was very excited to get my first new snowblower. My expectations were high as I have several other Husqvarna products. Lawn tractor and chainsaws. However the first time I usued it it bogged down so much it was near useless. My excitement turned to disappointment. When I realized my 10 year old 5 HP outperformed it. I returned it to the store and got a refund. I am really disappointed.

First Snow Storm of the Season

Has our first noreaster in New York State, and they can be rough. Put the new ST227p to the test. It tore through the snow like nothing I have ever seen. The snow plows usually bury our driveways and sidewalks. No contest for the ST227p. It goes through a little gas but I can live with that. The augers and chute dis not stick, although I do recommed a little spray. So far so goos.

Great Performer

Machine is lightweight but sturdy, power steering is a real asset , no lugging or lifting on turns or problem keeping a straight line on sidewalks , plenty of horsepower w/ my 27" , works well in wet sticky heavy snow....controls are easy to use w/ no bending stretching etc....throws snow so much better then my old 15 yr blower..no comparison.....

Great machine

I bought this blower about 3 years ago. It has been a great machine for me and my wife. It starts very easy. Even though it has electric start, I have never needed to use it since it is such an easy pull. It has easily cleared all the snowfalls we have received. Plenty of power. Smooth running. Easy to use.

Terrific Machine

First used in Jan. 2017 on 4", used again March 2018 on 8" and used again November 2019 on 15" . Starts quickly with electric start and does great job. Steers easily so wife can use it. No problems at all. Neighbor trashed his 3 yr. old other brand and bought this model last week after seeing what mine can do.

Reliable

I'm now in my 6th season of using the Husqvarna st227p in northern Michigan where we average 144 inches of snow per season (that's 12 feet!). I have been extremely happy with this snow thrower. It starts usually with one pull, even in temperatures near zero. It throws snow a long way. I recommend it.

Nice but problems

I bought this a month ago and it has been in the shop twice. Once for no reverse and had to be adjusted and once the carter pin that secures the cable to move the chute to the right came out and had to be replaced. We haven't had much snow so I hope no more problems. It handles nice.

Don't buy!

I bought it last year and had to return half way through the season. I got a new one and have to return it again. Doesn't want to run. Keeps bogging down even when not throwing snow. Starter quit after maybe 10 uses. Never buying your Husqvarna again!

ST 227P

Husqvarna, I bought this snowblower in 2017. I am happy about this product, but Husqvarna needs to make improvements on the skid shows (shoes part # 5838388-01). After snowblowing for 15-20 minutes the skid show (shoe) has to be adjusted due to wear on the concrete driveway and sidewalk. I live in Denver, CO and we only get about 6 snow storms worthy of dragging out the snowblower. Now, over 2 years of use and dragging out the snowblower 12 times, I am finding the snow show (shoes) to be a horrible design. If you don't adjust the snow show (shoe) ever 15 minutes, you will have damage to the Auger Housing (part # 5817083-98), Auger Blades (part # 5324362-55 and -56) and Scrapper Bar (part # 5324077-27). I have researched this issue on You Tube and have found guys making snow show (shoes) with roller bearings. Now, I ask Husqvarna to do the research and make this product, so I don't have to buy all the mentioned products above and increase my investment. Husqvarna, please make this happen! Sincerely a Husqvarna fan, Rick

Easy to use, powerful

Simple to turn on, super powerful and made it up and down our long, hill of a driveway. Chewed thru almost 2 ft of snow. Tricky to learn the handles and shooter at first, but really easy once i got used to it. Def recommend.

Extremely pleased with this snow thrower

I have a vacation home in Pagosa Springs, CO and sometimes get greeted with 30-36" of snow in my driveway upon arrival! This snow has gone thru a month or two of thawing and freezing which would be a horrendous job to shovel by hand. This snowblower has the power to chew thru the crusted snow and throw it 30-40 feet. I am puzzled by other reviewers complaining about the 180 degree's adjustable chute, because that is very suitable for clearing driveways and sidewalks. Additionally, the chute directional adjustment is very easy to set with each pass on the driveway or sidewalk. The second stage easily throws the snow 30-40 feet even if slightly wet snow. The power steering takes a little play time to get used to it, but it is a great feature to have. The first pass on the frozen snow is a slow ordeal, as it is best to go slow and let the machine do the work at its own pace. I suspect people may be tearing up belt drives because they are trying to push the machine past the machine's normal performance speed. I love this machine and its Solis performance and construction.

First and last Husky product

My wife bought me one three years ago for my birthday from a dealer not a big box store. When it was delivered in 30 degree weather my first question was why doesn't the engine need to be choked. The persons reply and numerous calls to the dealer were the same answer the new EPA requirement the engine doesn't need choking as long as it starts. The first storm was a huge disappointment as the machine is underpowered. I could not go into six inches of snow higher than second gear. Each time I called the dealer they replied the snow was heavy and the engine was underpowered. Midway into the season the impeller belt began to squeal, I was told it was the deep snow getting into the belts. My reply was why did this never happen with my old. MTD purchased from a big box store. There was more than one post about belts shredding. In the off season it went back to the dealer where it did indeed need a new belt. Adjustments were made to scraper blade and runners, which should have been performed before it was delivered to me. After this season it will be sent to another dealer who felt they may be able to help.

This is a great machine

When we moved down here we kept our home up north with the several hundred foot long driveway, so I left my 17 hsp, 34" cut machine up there and bought a new Husqvarna ST 227P for our place down here. We are in an area that gets serious lake effect snow. We are beginning our fourth winter with this machine now. It always starts. It has worked very well for me. The power and snow handling ability are just what I would expect from a machine of this rated hsp. The only problem I've had with it is failure to start that was a fault of an electronic ignition module gone bad the third year. The dealer replaced it under warranty and had me going again within 2 days. I changed the oil a couple of years ago, probably should again pretty soon. When I see people having problems with belts, etc I have to wonder what they're doing wrong or if they work for competitors and are just trashing Husqvarna products. I have a Husqvarna chain saw, leaf blower, weed eater and two lawn mowers and they all run like champs with little maintenance, maybe even some abuse. My wife has a Husqvarna sewing machine. If this ever dies I will buy another one, maybe a little bigger.
