Don't waste your money

WOW is all I can say. This is not a durable machine. Nothing but problems out of the shop. First year shear pins went, no big deal normal wear and tear. The next snow storm the auger belt goes, I replace it with one husqvarna belt. Next snow storm impeller freezes up and burns out the new belt even though I did exactly what manual said with removing all snow from chute and impeller area and running 4 minutes after use. Put a new one on and it's just never ending. It's amazing you spend good money on what should be a quality product and you get this. Very sad wish I di not waste my money

Second use

I have used Thai snow blower twice and I am very happy with the ease of use and the features. The job is done quickly and easily. I did have one problem during the 2nd use. Midway through the job the thrower shoot collapsed. The nut that holds the shoot on had come undone and was lost in the snow. I made a trip to Lowe’s to find a quick fix with a new nut and washer. Not a big deal, but when you spend over $900 you would expect a little more.

Great features but reverse gear needs attention

A welcome change from my 25 year old snowblower that still served me well. Tiller box configured in a way that avoids binding up with snow. Internal brace for the tillers and gear box is a great change. Plenty of power that sends the snow "flying". Easy to start and the switch to cut gas for shut down will avoid poor gas issues in the carb during storage. Controls are easy to use. A particularly nice feature is the handle that disengages the drive to the wheels allowing free wheeling to aid in pulling it back in a tight situation or turning in tight spaces. Having one reverse gear which is specific to this model is OK but it is the slowest reverse gear I have ever experienced. Spring will come before this gear will accomplish its goal. This needs to be improved. Haven't had this snowblower long enough to comment any further but still of find it is of reasonable value.

Works great, but hard to maneuver turns

This blows snow great distances and is easily manipulated to direct exactly where you want it. It is powerful for heavy wet snow or deep dry snow. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't turn easily. The wheels must move in sync, even when the drive is not engaged. It would be nice is the wheels were completely free and independent when not engaged to make maneuvering easier.

Fantastic Machine!!!

I bout this last year after suffering with a John Deere snow blower. For 7yrs I cursed at every snow storm. Bought this an absolutely love it! I am impressed how well this works, even in the wet heavy stuff! Power steering is awesome, hand warmers and love self propel. Only improvement I can see would be a couple more speeds in reverse. Other than that it was worth the money!

Nice machine. A few changes would make it Great.

Used the neighbor's machine for several years, then bought my own. Nice machine, but the discharge chute barely goes 180 degrees. In tough locations, rotating 200 or 210 degrees would improve performance. With the oil drain plugs either flush or inset with the gear case, there is no way to catch the used oil. Diagrams depict an extension tube, but none are included.

Well built, designed machine

I actually won this snow blower in a local raffle. My first Husqvarna product and I am very impressed. I have used it for two winters and it is very reliable with nice operator features like power turning, heated handles, and LED lighting. I am so happy with this product that I am considering Husqvarna to replace my old broken JD lawn tractor.

works as advertised

It' been a pretty mild winter so far only used it a few times but it works as advertised. The only problem I see with this particular model (st224p) is when I need to change the oil. there are no easily accessible ports to drain or fill. This is the only model I have seen that is like this, all the others have nipples to drain from and fill tubes.
