Latching box

The latches are very effective at keeping the lid on the container. The container itself is very sturdy, and the latches are strong enough to keep the lid secure and the contents safely inside. I use it for holding spices in my cupboard, and I have dropped it numerous times and the lid stayed in place and the container was not damaged in any way. I routinely stack things on top of this container and I have no concerns with the ability of the container to support a substantial amount of weight being put on top of it. I am very satisfied with this purchase and purchased one the larger sizes to use in my linen closet.

I was given my FIRST one as a gift. From then on I've bought 2 more. They turned out to be the perfect size for holding my embossing folders and metal dies that I keep organized in clear envelopes stacked on end file like. So I can find the ones quickly. Also add labels for categories. And the best feature is it's a bit wider than most of my 7x5 envelopes so I can slip the slimmer but longer like 8.5 inch embossing folders along the sides. I'm thrilled with these. And they stack well one on top of the other. Size small enough they don't get too heavy even when loaded with metal dies and thicker embossing folders. Love this item. My neighbor who also is into die cutting bought 2 also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought two of these containers to store some misc. items in my garage. We are doing a slow cleanup in there. By that I mean that we are cleaning up areas at a time and either getting rid of the items, donating them, or storing them for later. I ended up with one pretty full bin of items left over from my husband's job and a half full bin of items we just don't know what to do with. But I love that these bins are so sturdy and the fact that they are clear makes it easy to try to figure out what is inside. Plus Sterilite is so affordable. That's the best part.

I have been buying these over the past several years. I live in Central Florida; it's damp here during the rainy season and over the winter. I use these to store everything from linens, clothing, books, shoes, important documents, and miscellaneous everything. These latch boxes keep everything dust and mold free. Also, everything is organized so I can readily find it. (And as an aside, every time my house is burglarized, they grab a few of these to remove what they are interested in stealing. This is why I have to keep replacing them; the burglars like them, too.)

I have 2 ball pythons (sub-african snake which require precise temperatures and humidity to stay healthy) and I have to say I wouldn't use any other brand besides Sterilite. I was able to drill ventilation holes in all 4 sides with no cracking, it's durable with both the heat pad which it sits on 24/7 and the heat lamp that hangs above the lid. I've had my heat lamp slip down to the point it was pretty much resting on top of the lid and it didn't melt- which considering the heat lamp can reach temps 100+ degrees is AMAZING. The latching feature is super nice because it makes sure they stay in their tub, I've had another brand and my female snuck out and I couldn't find her for 9 hours. 10/10 get this, even if you don't have snakes just get it.

These are used in preschool classrooms in my district. Each child has a bin with their name on it with their own Play-doh with with accessories, one with Kinetic Sand and accessories and these are also used to store various blocks, and legos and other types of sets of small toys. The children get to select which activity they would like to do by selecting a “bin” and enjoying the contents of the bin. When they finish the activity they put the contents back in the bin and replace the bin in the shelf before selecting the next activity.

I bought a set of 6 of these. I use primarily for storage of fabrics. The saying who dies with the most fabric wins. I'm in a contest with paper and fabric as to which I'll win with. Store both in Sterilite drawers but so much ends up as over flow and need more storage as in STORE that stuff. Great these can see into them to ID what the contents are. Love that along with the locking lids and they stack well. Will buy more as needed. I've filled 4 just two left. Spring organizing is just around the corner so will definitely need more.

For the last 10 years I have organized a non-profit Halloween charity event for my daughter's schools. Over the last 5 years I have switched all of my prop storage over to the Sterlite 106 quart, clear box and it has made a huge difference. Now I can see everything I have stored and the boxes are the perfect size for volunteers to load large items and yet not be too heavy to lift. As well, they are extremely durable and easy to stack, which is a big deal for me as I now have over 100 in use. I would strongly recommend this product.
