Groupe Martel and BMR Group conclude commercial agreement
Alma, June 19, 2018 – Groupe Martel and BMR Group inc. announced today that they have reached a commercial agreement by which Groupe Martel will acquire the Potvin & Bouchard store in Alma, located at 50 rue des Pins Ouest, in August 2018.
This is the third BMR store of Groupe Martel. The company already owns two renovation centres (in Alma and Saint-Nazaire) and operates the Scierie Martel and Usine Tremblay sawmills and the Structures Martel wooden structures plant. “We are extremely proud to see our family business continue its growth, even after more than 60 years. Potvin & Bouchard is a strong brand, with a competent team of employees and a great store. We will continue to rely on these strengths to guarantee customer satisfaction!” says Pierre-Luc Martel, co-owner of Groupe Martel.

The existing team of employees will retain their current positions and the store will continue to operate under the Potvin & Bouchard brand. As a recall, BMR Group acquired the Potvin & Bouchard stores in 2008.
