I live in Montreal and we have a few meter of snow every year. I used this machine for two winters now to clean two decks on the back + 1 smaller deck out side of my bedroom on the second floor. it is not light but still portable by myself. Additionally, I use it to clear a long path on the back yard, so my dog can run around and do her business. I also put it in the trunk of my SUV to bring it to my office so I can clean the snow in the front and back yard. It is an impressive machine from Greenworks and very pleasant to work with. As a result, now I have bought additional six 80v tools from this company, they all works as expected.
Yes, I recommend this product.

About to call for a second replacement - BEWARE!!
First one died "throwing" in 6" of fresh snow after 3 storms. That year, most of the snow that was dropped the same amount of snow. Greenworks replaced it in the following Spring with the same SNB401 model. Winter decided to finally come around and the replacement failed on me during it's second outing after a storm with another ~6" of snow (again). BE FOREWARNED!!! There are many reports of the motherboard failing to power the motor, yet the lights still turn on. I have other Greenworks tools that I use during the Spring and Summer that all work wonderfully and as expected. Yet, the SNB401 20" Snowblower seems like a giant manufacturing defect.
BEWARE!

Works great but buyer beware...

I have several of their tools. This does a great job as long as the snow isn't too wet and heavy. Battery life is pretty good too. Here is the problem. The drive belt is considered a "wearable item" thus only has a 90 day warranty. I get that. The real problem is that you cannot just order the belt. You have to order the whole impeller assembly which costs quite a bit more. That is ridiculous. Especially considering my manual shows it as separate item (bait and switch?)! Certainly they have an OEM part number for the belt but for whatever reason they won't give it out. There are countless places to buy belts from if only they would give a part number/specs.

Customer Care
Hello Valued Greenworks Customer,
Thank you for your review. Happy to hear you are enjoying Greenworks products! We are sorry to read that you are not completely satisfied with this snow thrower. For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Regarding, the belt there is no need to purchase the impeller assembly If you are looking for separate pieces, try our third-party parts site here: https://greenworks.ordertree.com. Please use the parts list inside your owner's manual. Replacement parts can also be ordered directly from Greenworks simply give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) we are here to help.

Great product & service
I've enjoyed using this snow thrower through nearly 4 years of winter seasons. The only non maintenance complication I've had happened this week when the hinge of the battery compartment broke off. Initially I disregarded it as merely a protective piece for the battery, but soon realized it's absence affects the snow throwers function. I called customer service and Tavon walked me through the process. He informed me that the replacement part was out of stock. However, with my proofs of purchase he assured me that a warranty claim should resolve the issue. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to plow the next snow fall!

Seriously flawed
This machine simply does not work for any period of time. Others on this site have reported the same experience I have had. The machine will work for a few seconds then stop. After restarting a couple of time times it stops permanently. I have had the machine replaced once but experienced exactly the same performance with the second unit. The appropriate rating would be zero stars but that is not an option. I was so pleased with my Greenworks Pro lawn mower that I had really high hopes for the snowblower. But the performance I have experienced is completely unacceptable and I will be requesting a refund now.

clogs non stop
We got this in late summer so we would be ready by the time the snow falls, big mistake, now we are past the number of days to return it. Have tried to use this twice, both times it clogs non stop (get the clog cleared, go about 10 ft and its clogged again). when it does throw snow it barely makes it 1 or 2 feet out the chute, just dumping snow right next to the blower, so it makes the next pass by even deeper. used to have a gas powered, so i know how to use one, this is nothing but a cheap toy. Very frustrating when i see neighbors with blowers handle these 2 snows with no issues at all.

Above expectation!!!

I bought this at the end of last winter when my gasoline snow blower conked out. The cost of fixing it was about the cost of this machine. We had about 6 inches of wet soggy snow from "Stella" on a very long driveway and a 3 cars garage, so I took it out yesterday for the first time. This machine was amazing, it was able to throw the wet snow at least 20 ft. The machine is so light,I cleared up the driveway without a sweat. It took three charges but I look at it as built in breaks so the operator does not get a heart attack, as often heard to happen while snow shoveling wet heavy snow. I was so excited about this machine I took it to my in-laws and did their driveway and sidewalk for them.
