Both Batteries will not charge

I bought the leaf blower with 2 batteries. There is something wrong with the charger or both batteries as neither one will charge right out of the box. When I insert both batteries into the charge... they BOTH turn green the go right to blinking red and will not charge. Manuel states this means the batteries need replaced. I have not even used the product yet! Will be returning to get my money back! I also purchased the weed trimmer. Scared to even get it out of the box and will probably return it as well since I have lost confidence in this product!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Greenworks Customer Support
Hello, We are very sorry to hear about this uncommon occurrence! Typically, if more than one battery isn't charging then it is a charger issue, however, each case is different! If the string trimmer that you purchased is the same voltage, we would advise trying to charge the batteries on that charger to determine whether the issue is linked to the batteries or the charger. For further assistance in resolving this issue, please contact our team using the customer contact form or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757.

Replacement charger gets a Green light!

I initially received a faulty rapid Charger with the purchase of a GLM801601 Mower Kit. After contacting Customer Service they agreed to replace it and quickly sent out a new one. The replacement charger works as it should and charges the included 2.0 ah batteries swiftly. The mower works great and the battery power supply last as advertised. It's Just too bad it wasn't good from the start. The battery and Charging system is the heart and soul of all the tools - so it has got to be right.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Unacceptable charging issues

Bought the mower, battery and charger brand new 2 years ago. Rarely used due to small front yard. All of a sudden battery barely lasts 15 minutes and now won’t charge (flashing red). I’ve read the other reviews. You’ve got a product issue. I’ve tried all the silly recommendations to try to remediate. Are you kidding me? This didn’t go thru a QA process or what?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Battery Won’t Charge

I put the 80v battery into the 80v charger, the fan comes on and the solid red light on the charger comes on. Left it charging overnight and the charger still has a solid red light. The battery pack has 2 out of 3 green lights and has been that way since yesterday. Super frustrating seeing how this is the first time I’m trying to use it this year.

No, I do not recommend this product.

GreenWorks Customer Care
Hello Sweezey, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this product. Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. Should you still require further assistance, we would be interested in hearing more about this issue. Please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).
