ah batteries
how to get excited about a battery. you open the package and their in your hand is a rectangle of considerable weight and shiney green pastic. then you breathe deeply and realize how much relief is provided in that chunk of power. you are once again relieved of gasoline madness, of a tool that won't start despite your most thoughtful prayers. you lift the battery, you slide it into your weed cutter, your blower, your whatever and you pull the trigger . instant start, right to work and you smile . thanks greenworks

Fairly decent, died 4 yrs in...

I have a tiny 50x100 property. So, you can imagine how small the areas containing grass must be. I bought the 80V mower with the two batteries in the kit about 4 yrs ago. I'm not sure if it was a charger problem that cooked the battery, or if they aren't meant to last beyond the warranty period, but they're both now dead.
I will admit, the electric mower situation is perfect for small properties like this. So, I may consider a new one since the cost of two batteries is essentially, equivalent.

Customer Care
Hello xyriut,
We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Please know that our batteries are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the owner’s manual period from the date of purchase. Nonetheless we are interested in hearing more about these issues especially, since it seems that you have two units experiencing the same problem. If you are interested in discussing these issues directly with our team, please give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 or send an email using the customer contact form located on our website. All we ask that you have access to the battery and charger so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Great Back-up Battery
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Greenworks 80V battery has been a game-changer for my yard work! It’s incredibly long-lasting, giving me plenty of power to handle all my tasks without needing a recharge. I use it primarily as a backup for my blower, and it’s been the perfect solution for when I need extended run time. The battery charges quickly, holds its charge well, and provides consistent power throughout use. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, durable backup battery for their Greenworks tools!

No service support for the product
I bought the mower with two of these batteries. After one season, the battery could not be charged any more. I had been tried to call, chart, wait for their call back. Non of these worked. They don't pick up phone call (waited for mor than an hour online twice), they put me on calling back list for several hours and live chat on over an hour. One thing worked, that was, after I had the chat where I was given my email, I had received their emails of advertisment.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great Tool
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The Greenworks 80V 2Ah lithium battery is an excellent power source for outdoor tools. It charges quickly and delivers impressive runtime, allowing me to tackle yard work without constantly needing to recharge. The battery is lightweight, durable, and provides consistent power output, making it perfect for heavy-duty tasks. Highly recommended for anyone using Greenworks tools!
I bought this battery for the Chainsaw which my husband raves about! Getting him to tackle that honey do list is so much easier with the Greenworks chainsaw. The extra battery guarantees that he gets the honey do list done!! Not to mention that these batteries charge quickly and are efficient in powering the tools! It’s our aim to purchase more Greenworks tools!

Two PRO 80V 2.0 AH LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES are all I need.
I have two Pro 80V AH Lithium-ion batteries which I use on a chainsaw and a trimmer. They last about as long as it takes for a depleted one to recharge, so I can use my chainsaw continuously if I am near an electrical source. In the woods the two of them give me about 40 minutes of sawing, which is about as much as I want to do at one session.
