The handle is a solid thick plastic with a rubberized grip on the bottom so that it's easy to hold and won't slip out of your hand as easily when you're sweaty or have gloves on. The handle is long enough you could use both hands for really dry or tough dirt/digging. Overall this thing is amazingly solid and well worth the cost for a high quality tool that will last for years.

I think it’s perfect for gardening, especially for planting flowers or vegetables. The shape of the trowel is made for making deep and round holes for a root system. I just made one circle with this trowel and got a nice hole.. The handle is comfortable to hold. It has a rubber element which soften the surface of the handle. Very useful tool for garden lovers!
