Great functionality, minor issue w/release cable
3 years ago
Wish I'd bought this stand years ago and saved my body hauling my unwieldy chop saw around. Now just roll my saw out of the barn for work around the land. Sturdy, easy to roll, strong extension arms. Able to store the saw rotated to the 60 degree mark, upright on the stand with good stability and an efficient use of floor space. Did have problems getting the release mechanism to work a few months in. Looked up the issue online and learned I needed to tighten the cable housing tensioning nuts. Easy to do and no problems since over the past year. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the quality and functionality of this stand.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Stand
I bought this stand after looking at other stands and reviews of other stands. This stand is not only well built but super strong. I mounted my double bevel compound slide saw on and it has become the best thing I’ve bought in some time. It’s easy to use and helps make the task of moving my saw around so much easier. The saw is secure and positions perfectly at the right height. Everything about the stand is well built and ergonomically it’s set up to make using it a one person experience. I’m a 55 year old craftsman and anytime tool that makes getting setup on the job site faster and easier is a win/win for both me and the customers.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Now I look forward to using my miter saw
I used to need to pick up my miter saw and lug it around my shop to a clear place on the floor (my workbench was always full of material). I dreaded it. Now it is a breeze to roll it out, make a few cuts, clean it off and roll it back to the corner. Infeed/outfeed supports are life changing compared to not having them for so long. Also, I almost didn't buy it because I read somewhere that it isn't stable enough to store your saw in the vertical position. I suspect their lawyers said that. It stores vertically just fine and is very stable that way (absent a kid hanging on it or something stupid; maybe different saws are differently balanced or something).
Yes, I recommend this product.

Current model variant is NOT worth your money
a year ago
My first experience with this stand influenced my purchase, especially the nice roller supports built into the stand arms. Sadly, that experience was with an earlier model that DeWalt has since revised into a cheaper, lower quality model with significantly worse features...for a higher price. Because of course they have. Unlike the initial model that influenced my purchase, the current model I bought has no rollers, no cord management solution, and all the welds/fit & finish are visibly worse. It's an OK stand, but it's much worse than the Rigid stand and no better than cheaper stands that aren't coasting on the now-unimpressive DeWalt brand's past history.

Miter saw stand
As with some of the other reviewers the mounting bolts used to hold saw to stand were so tight that I ended up disassembling the mount put each bracket in a vise and used a pipe wrench on the threaded portion of bolt to loosen it. Cut head off bolt and replaced with bolts that I had. Secondly, and this appears to be a common problem I had a problem getting stand raised and now it won't lower. It appears that cable is too long or needs adjustment. Nothing I could find in instructions or website that indicates how to adjust cables. I have already spent far too much time on this stand and now spending more with this review
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Product
This is a great product, heavy duty design, easy to put together and the miter saw was easy to install. And yes, once raised, the stand would not lower. However, this product has cables that release the locks so that it can lower. For those that know how to troubleshoot, think back to your childhood days when you had to adjust the brakes and gear cables on a bicycle. These cables are the same, they are adjustable. Remove the black cover at the bottom of the long cable, loosen the nut closest to the spring so it is at the end of the threads, then tighten the top nut. That solved the problem, it lowers perfectly.

Heavy duty

I bought this only a few days ago, and I see that is well built. When putting it together the instructions are straightforward, and easy. Putting on a mitre saw was a challenge due to the fact that the mounting bolt was jammed. In the process of removal, the supplied wrench broke off inside the head of the bolt. Rendering the mounting bolt useless. I managed to remove the bolt after several drill bits, and using vice rips as well. I understand it needs to be torqued down at the factory, but that was ridiculous! I am now in search of a new tool and mountain bolt. I also have a problem with the lowering of the unit with a miter saw attached. Isn't it supposed to be able to do that?
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great features , but attention to detail is poor
2 years ago
Love this stand for the folding / rolling features it has . But there is definitely some flaws I’ve found within the first week of owning it … I have a DWS779 Miter Saw on it - as you can see in the pictures , any piece of stock that is wider than 9” - won’t sit on the extending supports , because they’re 5” out the rear side of the saw.. the saw is as far back as it can possibly sit, so nothing to work with there.. and not to mention - the support itself - once tightened at any given length, it does not sit level . Again - you can see that in the pictures as I leveled the stock stop to compare to how terrible the support is. Definitely needs some tweaking and more attention to details.
No, I do not recommend this product.
