Pocket Laser Distance Measurer - 30' - Black and Yellow

This laser measuring tool is perfect to carry around the jobsite in the pocket of my safety vest. I am a Project Manager for a commercial construction company and having a quick way to check measurements in the field is very helpful. For someone who doesn’t use a tape measure all day it saves me the hassle of trying to stand a tape out 25 feet in the air to get a measurement to the ceiling or something over head. The only issue I have seen so far is some inaccuracy when trying to measure between metal studs. Could have something to do with the reflectivity of the metal. The single button operation makes this tool easy to use and understand. The laser is bright enough to be seen in bright sunlight even at a distance of 30 feet or more. I wish the display was a little bit larger but not at the expense of increasing the overall size of the tool, so it works well enough. I really think this measuring tool will excel with interior measurements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these at work before the virus hit and this little tool is awesome the only problem I found is that if you don't use the most expensive Batteries you can get the accuracy doesn't last over about a month but as soon as the battery gets the slightest bit low you have to change them

I bought this brand new from Ace today and it will not take a charge. Worse, the poorly-written “instruction” manual says nothing about how long it should charge for. I can not recommend this product and will be returning it. DeWalt can do better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this laser distance measuring device, returned it because it was defective. Replaed it with another and had returne it because it also was defective. I finally purchased a diferent unit that exceeds my original expectations!

I purchased one. It did not read or display any measurement, just small horizontal dashes at the bottom of the screen. So, I returned the device for another. After multiple attempts I obtained one measurement.

but supposed to be more visible (about the numbers) , most of the time we work in dark (or sunny) conditions and it's impossible read the numbers. I suggest the red digital numbers for the next project :-)

Gives the wrong measurement after only sporadic use for 3 months. For instance, 20 inches reads as 20 and 3/8. 25 feet reads as 28. Sort of useless now....

I purchased the DW030PL a little under a year ago. It worked ok up until I tried to charge it last week. It won't take a charge.
