Great Battery
I just bought this battery and charger, and 18 inch Dewalt Saw. This was one of the best buys I have made. I had a 18inch Gas power Saw. I was so tired of getting repaired since I don't cut trees every day. I would have to get the saw repaired before I could use it. This battery and the saw was great I was cutting a big tree branch that fell in my yard I did about 40 cuts with the saw. The battery never dyed. I love this battery and the battery powered saw. So much easier to use then a gas powered saw... No mixing of oil and gas, no pulling to get it to start... Just put a fully charged battery in the Saw and you ready to cut. Love it...
Yes, I recommend this product.

flexvolt 20/60 9HR

I bought a Dewalt Leaf Blower for job site usage.
Blower is great, the battery sucks!
THE CHARGED BATTERY doesn't last too long and takes an extreme amount of time to recharge.
Now the battery indicators show 2/3 charged but it doesn't operate anything and won't charge anymore. I've had this product for 3 months. Since I purchased this product in a sealed original box ,ONLINE, the warranty for the battery is null and void. So I am stuck with buying a new battery at 150+/- and hope it works a little longer. I have no problem with my five other regular 20/60 flexvolts. STAY AWAY FROM THIS 9HR BATTERY! I'm going to be looking into Milwaulkee products from now on.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Beast of a battery. Just a little too heavy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this on a whim last winter just to have an extra battery for my 20V tools. It's definitely nice having the large capacity so I don't have to charge it too often (compared to the 1.5Ah ones). Only issue is, it's pretty big and heavy, especially when using it in a cordless drill or driver. Fatigue can set in pretty quickly and you might need to remove the tool belt hook to get it to fit for some drills. Probably should have went with the smaller FlexVolt, but hey, that's my fault. I'm still putting it to good use (added a FV grinder to my arsenal since) and it works great.

This thing is a BEAST!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing rocks!! I’ve been using it with my angle grinder and it’s a game changer! That grinder is very hungry and a 9 amp hour battery is the perfect battery for it! I was using my 2ah which was really lightweight but it died so fast you could only get 5-10 small cuts. This 9ah just keeps going!! I use it daily at work and home all on a single charge. I’m a mobile heavy equipment mechanic and have to travel to several jobs a day, having the cordless power that lasts me several days and 20+ jobs saves me so much time. I’ll be buying a few more very soon!!

Sadly, the batteries just don't last very long...
One of these batteries came with a leaf blower I purchased, and about a month or so later I bought another one for a Dewalt chainsaw.
After a year or so of very infrequent use, both batteries now only last about 15 minutes on a full charge. (Which is rather frustrating when there's hours of work to do...)
All my tools are Dewalt, and out of everything I own these batteries are unfortunately the weak link. Which is very frustrating, as replacing these batteries is very expensive.
I will always highly recommend Dewalt tools, but if you're buying a tool that requires a 20/60 FlexVolt battery be prepared to eventually spend much more money than initially intended as you WILL need to replace these (ostensibly) re-chargeable 20/60 batteries.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Battery does not last
Been using Dewalt tools for many years and found them to be a good, reliable product. That is why I purchased the 60v battery powered attachment capable powerhead, blower, string trimmer, brush cutter, and pole saw with the 9Ah battery and the 6Ah and 9Ah batteries so I could use the attachments continuously. The batteries only last 20 to 30 minutes at best. It takes all three batteries at full charge to blow off my 1000 foot paved driveway. Then it takes hours of charging the batteries to be fully charged so they can operate the tools again. For another 20 to 30 minutes for each battery. Why would you put such a bad product on the market? You worked very hard to build a reputation for producing good quality products and then you put this crap on the market.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Solution for Those Having Issues Getting Charge
4 years ago
On my first charge with the DCB115, the charger's light blinked twice and then gave the solid "charged" light, same on second charge. Tried a different DCB115 charger with same results. Called DeWalt Service Center in Texas to express that there is a problem and tons of complaints/reviews about this battery online. The Tech asked "Are you pushing the battery until you hear a loud click?" My reply: "I'm pushing it until the light comes on". He said, "It's not the same thing; it's still not getting a good connection until it clicks". By George, he is right. Push it until it clicks and the light starts blinking consistently, indicating a charge. 5 stars for a great battery with awesome technology and great service centers in ATL & TX, minus a star for a charger that has caused mass confusion among users.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent run time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dewalt flexvolt battery is a must if you're looking to run a cordless jobsite. This review us for there 9ahr battery. It's a little on the heavy side so you wouldn't be using it in your cordless drill or other small cordless tool. I find this battery is a excellent pick for the rear handle circular saw where the battery is very nicely balanced in the middle. I have also used it a lot with a sawzall as the long runtime is excellent when cutting in flush headers.
