Grease tube is of poor quality

I bought this grease gun about 2 years ago. I use it every day and it has pumped several hundred tubes of grease. The only complaint that i have about it is the grease tube is junk. Right out of the box the seals in the tube were bad, so when you go to pull the rod out to put a new tube of grease in, it squirts grease everywhere. I then bought a factory replacement tube for it. This one lasted about 2 to 3 weeks before the seals also went out on it. I am a logger by trade so I go through a lot of grease, and the gun itself works great. The tube however is very frustrating because you can not grease with the thing without getting covered in it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good tools

We just tried it for the first time. We buy Dewalt exclusively now because of good quality and their innovative with all tools. There are other obvious advantages in tool management with a single source, but here we wish to make a suggestion. Especially with a grease gun that can be used out of a single shop on different job sites, the carrying case is important for insurance that it is handled properly when not in use and all necessary parts are there when needed. In short, define how it goes in the case well enough for “anybody” to quickly get it done properly. The instructions or directions should be permanent in the case.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Relief valve problem

I bouhgt 20v max grease gun new about six months ago and up untill recentely it worked as good as you could ask for it to. I put one tube of grease through it five days a week I use it to grease a large CAT wheel loader.now for what ever reason the preasure relief valve kicks out before the motor even starts to tighten up.Dewalt advertises this gun to have 10,000 psi and is one of the main reasons i got it and fact that I like dewalt tools. I can grease this machine with an old hand gun so I know the grease lines are not clogged and I don't think I can get 10,000psi with an old hand gun?

Yes, I recommend this product.

The BESY Grease Gun I have ever used.

I have had this Grease Gun for at least three years and it still pumps grease faster than I can with a pump system. It will put grease in any grease fitting that you can get the grease head on. Plenty of power to drive the grease home. Not too heavy , easy to carry. CONS: No Shuttle Grease Tube System or at least a kit to retrofit an already purchased grease gun. My biggest problem is not DeWalt's fault, it is leaking grease in the barn... I bag the end now but a sealed system would be a nice add-on. Also, I now use the LockNLube Grease Head.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dont waste your money

I have been using this grease gun to grease our Kabota Mini-Excavator and tracked skid steer daily for 3 months and yesturday it started to making a grinding noise and skipping pump cycles. Then today the drive mechanism stripped out completely. If you need a cordless grease gun go with a Lincoln, I had one at my old company for 3 years, greasing 2-8 machines a day, and it still is being used to this day by the person who filled my position after I left. But it did work well before it broke but I am not impressed getting 3 months out of a tool.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Compare to Milwaukee

I have had 5 of the 20v dewalt grease guns over the last many years. For the most part a good gun for light duty greasing. When greasing tougher zerks or in colder temps the relive valve will let grease out long before the zerks sees anything near 10,000psi. I was stubborn and keep with dewalt because the batteries were all the same as my other tools. Recently used a Milwaukee m18 dual speed grease gun on a excavator that had 8 zerks that the dewalt would not grease and just go over relive. There is no comparison the M18 out pushes my Dewalt guns it has zero issues with those same 8 zerks. I have welded the relive valve shut on one of my dewalts and that helps a lot but the motor wont stop and it will fail the gun if not really careful. I will be replacing them with Milwaukee

Fantastic

This is an amazing grease gun! Easy to load and prime then worked perfectly. Am able to grease all my tractor fittings in less time and with almost zero effort (just pulling the trigger). Yea it was a fairly expensive purchase but if ya got the bucks, it's well worth the cost. Also the hard storage case is great - now I have a nice clean case sitting on the shelf instead of a messy looking and dripping grease gun hanging from the wall!! Go for it - you'll be happy ya did.

Yes, I recommend this product.

BEST GREASE GUN

Ive been a commercial truck driver for over 27 years and let me tell you this will make you want to grease your truck or equipment due to its mobility and ease of changing grease tubes and ease of getting them started. I recommend you add this to your arsenal. One thing I did and also recommend is by a "Lock & Lube" fitting end that lock on and are hands free of course after installation and removal and withstand up to 10,000lb pressure.

Yes, I recommend this product.
