Really wanted the faux-sidewinder...

I wanted the faux-siderwinder, but they had no "kits" with decent batteries included, and I can always borrow my father in-law's milwaukee.
It is a very nice saw, but, within a few months, it was apparent that DeWalt doesn't really care for this saw but rather the new "Flex Volt Advantage!"
I know the specs, and this saw is "slightly" more powerful than the FlexVolt Advantage, but I have so many 20v batteries this wouldn't have been an option. I don't need 200 more RPMs, or whatever.
I wish I would have gotten the faux-worm-drive one if they made this tool, more or less, obsolete, but more flexible with the thousands of dollars of the 20v ecosystem I have spent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in residential construction so I use this saw very frequently everyday. I love how long this saw lasts on a single charge. I can make almost all the cuts I need during a workday on one battery. I also like how smooth it cuts. It feels comfortable in your hand and the added brake feature is nice that once you stop cutting the blade stops. I would highly recommend this saw to anyone beginner or experienced carpenter it is very well made.

I own this saw, but due to being a lefty, I dont like the blade on the right side. I do still use this saw, but only when I need a more powerful saw on LVL, hardwood etc. I initially bought it due to the 60v platform, and other than my personal preferences do actually like the power it has. I think I'll be trying out the 577 though.
