Won't Restart After Releasing the Handle Trigger

It seems my problem is similar to many others. I'll engage the engine, start spraying, and it works fine until I stop spraying. Then the engine won't come right back on. However, if I wait 5, 10, or sometimes 15 minutes, I'll put the engine back to on, and it does re-engage....until I release the trigger and stop spraying. Fiddling with the Test and Reset buttons does nothing. Given what I've seen from other reviews, it looks like this a major design flaw. I have at least a dozen other Dewalt products and love them all, which is why I bought your pressure washer, but its performance is extremely disappointing.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Portable; Simple; Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this unit. You wouldn't want to get it to use as a contractor. But I am a contractor and this thing is perfect for around the house. Washing the car, boat, bike, deck couldn't be easier. The other nice thing was the, virtually, instant setup. You un-box, screw the hose in, plug into a 110v power source; and you're done. Pros: Portability, ease of set-up/maintenance, rugged construction. Plenty of power for any normal cleaning job around the house... decks, pools, driveways... this thing will get the job done for sure. Cons: Less power and fewer GPM will yield a slower wash rate; recommend avoiding this if you're power washing thick mud from off-roading or heavy equipment

Yes, I recommend this product.

Simple design, just what I needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this unit for its specifications and performance Electric powered pressure washers are ideal for me since they’re quiet, and I can use them at anytime of day or night. Also no gas or exhaust fumes to deal with. Out of the box supper quick and easy assembly. The power cord is really long, I had no problem reaching to any of my receptacles. The pressure hose has a perfect length too, I was able to reach rooftop HVAC unit to wash off all gunk no problem. Also it’s really light weight and with large wheels that makes it really portable. Overall convenient and easy to use.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Really Bad

After my old (cheap/off brand) pressure washer finally died, I decided to go DEWALT because I trusted the name. That was a mistake. It arrived with the wheel axle bent, and one tire won't hold air (packaging was fine...so it left the factory this way). Disappointing, but not a deal breaker. Then I started using it. First 5 minutes were spent with intermittent pressure, surging and dying. Then about 20 mins in, it just stopped working. Maybe it needs to cool down, I don't know. But I know I miss my old cheap pressure washer that had none of these issues. Don't risk it...think of the time you'll have to spend packing this thing back up and returning it. DEWALT: You're spoiling your reputation by selling something so poorly engineered and made.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not impressed

Purchased yesterday and assembled today. Once I hooked up the hoses & made sure the air was out of them I plugged it in. Once powered up the pump would not stop running, and the unit had very little pressure. Nothing was leaking externally, the hose screen filter was clean, the water pressure to the unit was fine, and the power supply was on a clean 20 amp circuit. I’m returning it today. I haven’t purchased DeWalt tools for quite some time, and this pressure washer reminded me of why I don’t buy DeWalt tools anymore.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Handy home tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few weeks ago and have used it for several things around the house (fence, patio, mower, etc) and it has been easy to use and very concevnient. I am accustomed to gas power washers so it took a minute to adjust to the electric one, but it is great that it is so quiet! I did have to move to a couple outlets because it was tripping the breaker on startup, so be aware what is on the circuit used. Aslo the sprayer doesn't lock in as well as I would like. However, a very convenient tool to have and easy to use.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dewalt Electric Pressure Washer 2400psi

Great design! I love the fat tires as it helps for easy mobility. It is well built and it is not cheap-looking at all like the other brands. As far as performance, it has a quiet motor and will run and stop instant when when you engage and let go the trigger. You have to use the 15 degree nozzle for max pressure. It did a great job on my deck and pavers...soon I will try using the detergent dispenser and try it with a surface cleaner. It is more than adequate for me since I don't have a huge property.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Pressure Washer with One Big Flaw

This pressure washer is great for lightweight use around the house. The electric cord and pressure hose are nice and long, and it's easy to move around. The one big flaw with this pressure washer is that there is no on/off valve for the soap dispenser. What this means in actual use is that if you're washing a big project that you need to do in sections (e.g., siding on a house), once you have soap in the dispenser, all you can spray is soapy water-- you can't rinse with water only until you empty the soap dispenser and rinse it out. When working in sections where you need to apply detergent and then rinse, and then repeat, this 'always on' detergent feature becomes problematic. The only workaround I've found is to purchase a 3rd party soap dispenser that snaps on and off the end of the handle/wand.

Yes, I recommend this product.
