Love It and Hate It

As a first-time table saw owner, I spent a fair amount of time reading reviews and ratings, which was how I selected this unit. It was straightforward to assemble, and I would give it 4 or 5 stars, except for the following. It cannot accept a dado setup, which I discovered right after I purchased it; still in the box, so I could have returned it but decided to keep it based on the reviews. Being new to table saws, I had yet to learn of kerf or riving knives, but I knew I would be doing more finish-type projects, so I wanted at least a 40T blade instead of the blade that came with the saw. When I got the additional blade, I discovered it would not work, and I could not find any place to get a riving knife for the thinner blade. If it was still in the box I would return it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very disappointed!!

Saw works great but its limitations are very disappointing. I bought the saw to use it to build cabinets. I spent lots of time building a table for it to sit in only to find out that it WILL NOT accept a ditto blade. Now I have my money and time invested in a saw that will not work for me. Very disappointed! I have many Dewalt tools but this one is disappointing. Guess I will have to find a replacement that I can afford. Just have to wonder how much Dewalt saved by making the motor shaft 1/2” shorter?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great little saw!

I have had this saw for a couple of years and really like it. It is compact and durable. When I want to drive my small car to a job instead of my big van, the saw fits in the trunk along with my other tools. The folding stand is handy. I don't bother to bolt it down, just set it on the stand and go to work. I like the rack and pinion fence system to keep things lined up. The adjustment for raising the blade needs some air pressure and dry lube occasionally to keep it working smoothly.

Tables saws, but without flat tables/fences.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd assume that in this day and age, making a decently straight aluminum extrusion fence, and an actual flat surface on the saw should be easy. My old Blue Ryobi table saw from 2006 has a flat surface, and it's not a saw that I'd equate to being "good". But oddly enough, it's better than the Dewalt in terms of manufacturing...And, at 3x less the price. Dewalts service is the last decent thing it has. They've declined so much since 2018... it breaks my heart.

Nice saw for the size and price

Overall this is a great saw and you like it enough that you wish there were a few more options. Easy setup. Everything was square and true out of the box. The measurement guides are accurate from 0 to 24.5". The fencing system is easy to use. Nice storage for the wrenches and push stick. I purchased mainly for cutting down plywood so the 24T saw blade it comes with isn't a good choice. I wanted a 60T thin kerf blade but it did not work as the riving knife is wider than the cut and it does not appear dewalt sells a narrower riving knife. The 40T blade from dewalt works pretty good for cutting/cross-cutting finish plywood. I don't care too much for the miter gauge. I know this is a jobsite saw but I am suprised that dewalt doesn't consider options for a ready to buy add on router table and fence or a crosscut sled.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Amazing Table Saw

Bought this table saw since I had to install a lot of flooring and I have been needing one for awhile anyways, and this saw works amazing. Its great being portable which allows me to easily take it to my different clients, and is very powerful making precise cuts every time. The miter gauge isn't perfect, allowing to the wood to slide a little at times, but still gets the job done and this is an incredibly good table saw for the price you pay.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Sturdy and compact

Just purchased this saw in a combo with the scissor stand. Very impressed. Both seem well built. Unlike some other reviews that I read, the mounting holes lined up perfectly between the saw and the stand and all of the needed bolts were included. The whole system seems well thought out with great accessory storage and the fence is fantastic. Everything was true out of the box with just a bit of adjustment needed on the throat plate height.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not what I expected

Bought this as my first table saw as I’d thought it was good for the price and size. I wish DeWalt would advertise that it does not accept dado blades or proper finishing blades to work with its knife. I bought it last year but finally got to using it yesterday, only to find out about its limitations. I wish I had known sooner so I could exchange it for the 10”. Lack of proper advertising it’s capabilities/limitations on DeWalt’s part.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Goldilocks - just right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw in January. I needed to build a cabinet for a remote property and odd jobs around the house. I found everything about this portable table saw to be just right. Not to big, but big enough to get the job done. All of the controls are well placed and simple to use. All accessories have storage locations that make it easy to transport and keep everything together. Thanks DeWalt for another great tool.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Smooth saw

I use this saw for home use and the occasional side job. The contractor I work for has the bigger 10 inch version. The compact version is the perfect size to suit my needs. The adjustment of the fence is super smooth and locks in securely. These are top notch saws and the compact still has plenty of power. I do a lot of trim work and small 1 man stuff on the side, this saw is perfect for that

Great tool to have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this table saw to complete a job installing cabinets where I would have to rip fillers needed between the cabinets. I am highly satisfied with this power equipment. It was easy to assemble and and understand the instructions for use and safety features. It worked flawlessly and was precise in my cuts. I highly recommend this tool if you have projects that need rip cuts.

Great saw

I paired this with a Dewalt DW7440RS rolling table saw stand, and it’s and impressive combination. As for the saw it’s ergonomic, plenty of power, and well designed. In that combination I have no problem running 3/4 sheet goods by myself . Not something I can do with the light low quality saws. I haven’t found anything anywhere near the price range that can compete with that combination.

A snap to assemble and use

Bought this for a flooring and trim job and it has exceeded expectations. Really easy to assemble and use. Im no carpenter but if I were this would be the table saw I bought. Makes cuts easy and clean. Glad I bought this instead of another brand. Paid a little extra but the quality of this product is worth it. Now I just have to upgrade my stand to the rolling one.

BUY IT NOW

This saw is crazy good right out of the box. First cut I did was eye balled 1” and with the digital calipers it was 1.08” this thing is bang on and ready to rock. Super light to carry, small size to fit in the garage. Fits on the Maximum Gravity rolling stand from Canadian Tire... if you drill one hole into the support in the stand. Worth every penny.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Solid, straight cutting piece of hardware

I purchased this to replace a competitors table saw after 7 years of issues. This saw was quick to setup and has all the necessary attachments to get anybody started. The cuts are very precise, blade changes are quick and easy, and it has storage for all the accessories right onboard. I am very impressed with this table saw and you will be too.

Versatile compact beast

I’ve had for over a month and this saw is doing everything I need it to do and It’s doing it very well. My most recent cuts I’ve been making have been with a 1/4 inch Dado blade. The depth of my cuts have been 1/2 inch. The saw has need handling it very well. In regards to using a Dado blade; 1/4” is the widest cut you can make with this saw.

Great table saw long as you dont need a dado blade

What id like to know is how so many people in the comments are incapable of using Google search to determine if this table saw accepts a dado blade before buying the product, assuming that's a deal breaker for them, it's a decent saw for the price with some flaws that can be tweaked and improved on as long as you don't need a dado blade.

Thrilled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this on multiple projects over the past couple months and couldn't be happier. Everything was accurate out of the box so I didn't need to make any adjustments out of the box and has consistently made accurate cuts. I'd like to upgrade to a more accurate miter gauge in the future but the one it comes with still works well enough

When my husband and I got married we both had one - won’t get rid of either. It handles his bigger projects & his “wear & tear” and is easy enough for me to do all of my projects as well. Have used others in the past that I wasn’t comfortable with & / he’s broken multiple in the past. I use it more than I thought I would.

Love this saw! The build quality is far above the other makes with the metal drive wheels etc.I compared carefully and paid the little extra for the Dewalt quality which really paid off. The adjustments are easy and firm ...its safety features do not interfer with my wood working and that makes my wife happy !

Super portable small saw with big capacities

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this saw for few reasons. It has superior dust collection. It’s accurate and precise. Everything stores inside of the saw, fence, miter gauge and related components, very neatly. I love the fence, it’s solid, very sturdy. I can easily carry this saw in one hand and transport in back my car.

Awesome little work horse, few minor issues.

All around a great tool, can even rip down full sheets of PLYWOOD. 1st issue though, the T Miter track is loose and has lots of wiggle room in both the slots that allow it to glide pass the blade. 2nd issue, no dado blade, but with repeated cuts can solve that issue.

I love this saw and it does everything I need it to do. Just a word of advise right above the lever to lock the fence is the gear rail for the fence adjuster. The first time I used it my hand hit the teeth of the gear rail and cut my skin ( very minor).
