Compact Electric Reciprocating Saw - 1 1/8" - 12 A

I bought the DeWalt 12.0 Amp/3000 spm recip saw this weekend and had a large amount of cutting to do in the yard. This included taking out a dead, hardwood tree with 8" trunk. Took the tree down with a 12" pruning blade. Also many overgrown Oleader trees with 2" to 4" trunks. The saw did all the cuts no problem. We just ran out of space to dispose of all the trimmings!

I bought this saw to cut large underground roots from tree stumps. With a set of pruning blades, this saw cut those very dense hardwood roots like a hot knife through soft butter. At first, I though the compact design might hinder working in tight spaces but it worked better than I thought it would.

First one quit working after a few uses. Pulled trigger. Nothing. Warranty replaced. Second one. Used twice. Second time I noticed the variable speed wasn't working. Kept using it. Then it wouldn't shut off. Pulled plug. Tried plugging back in. Took off full power. Maybe third time's a charm...

Just opened the box, absolutely brand new saw, went to make my very first cut on a 2x4 and literally within 30 seconds - smoke came out of the motor and it stopped running. Now when you press the trigger all it does is make a buzzing sound. BRAND NEW and saw is DOA!

Used it in remodel , outside for fence,tree stumps. this is the most versatile saw.Far greater stability when in your hands because of the grip. love this saw.

I’ve tried multiple reciprocating saws for our farm and this one really impressed me. Combined a with a great set of dewalt blades I have easily cut any wood, pvc or metal I’ve come across in record time.

Bought it 3 weeks ago and it hold its own. I have been using to cut tree roots and the power delivered is tremendous. Too bad some one hasn't made a sawzall blade that performs like this electric saw.

Bought this to replace an old recipricating saw. Worked great. Like the different blade positions. Only bad thing is the grip causes a blister to form on the thumb (pinches). Could use a better grip.
