A solid and powerful tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dewalt reciprocating saw has power to spare, and takes the abuse that a demolition tool needs to withstand. Whether its a 6Ah or 9Ah battery, the saw functions great and does hundreds of cuts on a single battery. The saw is a bit heavy, but this can also help by letting the saw and the weight do the work when cutting vertically. Cord free makes tackling jobs from multiple sides and angles easy. The only change I would recommend is the ability to insert blades horizontally, not just vertically. However, the tools construction makes it easy to handle at any angle.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Powerful and Well Designed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised when I received this I expected this saw to be very large and heavy. This saw is actually smaller and lighter than some of the 18 V models I have used in the past. It has excellent ergonomics on the handle and the base of the tool. It is powerful and does not bog down when cutting. Yet it’s easy to control. I was able to make 90° cut off’s in 4 x 4 pressure-treated wood and make cuts in a fairly wet cherry blossom trunk with a 9 inch pruning blade. Even with wet sawdust on the blade chuck I was able to pull the release for the blade and have the blade drop out without having to use gloves to remove a hot blade. Overall, if you’re on the FlexVolt platform or considering it then this saw is a must.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Variable Beast Power! It is so good...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Variable Beast Power! It is so good--power keeps pouring on with the variable speed trigger (nice), and the 60 volt battery has a great run time. 60 volts!!! Paired with a brushless motor, this recip saw is a must-have for a contractor.
I regret not having different video than the one I uploaded as it doesn’t do the saw justice. It is heavy, so one-handed use for me is difficult, but there are guys who will sling this easily. One of my guys dug out around a 8’ tall tree/bush on a recent house remodel, then grabbed the Sawzall to cut the roots; when I discovered he was using our brand new, awesome cordless tool I was almost upset, but that smile on his face at how quickly it went was worth it. Really nice, and safer, to not have a cord wrapped around the tree as he goes, and he can just get out without getting tangled up; this is a much safer saw for pruning vs. a corded tool.
Contractors already know this is a must-have tool. Off-grid property owners absolutely need this, as do homesteaders and farmers--a powerful saw that doesn’t need a cord and is always ready. Next pig harvest will be even easier without the need for an extension cord.
DeWALT, can you add a 12” stainless food-grade blade, or butchering blade set?
Notes:
1. The battery has a red insert pictured below that splits it into three batteries internally so it can be flown in a carry-on; don’t pack the battery in your suitcase, just the tool. The battery goes in your carry-on. This is a really big deal.
2. Fast, tool-free blade loading, forwards or backward, works perfectly.
3. Nice light on the front to keep a keen eye on the top or bottom of the stud being removed.
Comes with a bag and charger, of course. Plenty of room for multiple blade boxes.
Yes, I recommend this product.

power of corded
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a very powerful reciprocating saw. I have used many different reciprocating saws before, corded, cordless, many different sizes. this saw definitely got the power to cut through many types of material with ease. it is a little heavy, but then the weight can be a advantage when you use it to cut, as you don't have to push as harder. most of the time you just have to position the saw and let the tool do the work. its well constructed tool, seems like it can take a lot of abuse and won't break down easily.

Power with a punch!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the new 9AH battery this reciprocating saw has more than enough juice to get any job done. Great for demo work or even cutting small tree branches. Very smooth tool with very limited vibration that gets transferred to the user. Additionally the small LED is great for dark or portly lite areas.
I know previous models have a fast changer but this 6AH is plenty considering they’ve up’d the battery from 6AH to 9AH. Would highly recommend to get any job done around the house or construction site!!

Beast of a saw!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw is in--wait for it--credible. I mean, holy moly what an animal. It'll chew through anything you throw at it without missing a beat.
I've had to saw through solid aluminum, steel, hardened nails and I couldn't believe the power that this saw brings to the worksite. Not to mention the battery performance. The saw came with one bar charged on the battery and I swear it went a good 5 hours on that ONE BAR before I had to charge it.
I would highly recommend this saw to anyone in demolition or heavy duty construction. It's precise and powerful and easily the best reciprocating saw I've ever used.
The only con I would say is the weight. I'm quite a strong guy but if you're doing a lot of cutting above your head all day, every day, this may not be the model for you. Can't wait to tackle more projects with it!

Long lasting power and powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received unit 2 weeks ago and it did not sit in its box for long. Unit is not to heavy to where it will fatigue you.Spring is here and nature needs to be trimmed! Saw did not disappoint. With the correct fresh blades it cut through anything I put in front of it, branches, T-posts, beams with nails, metallic conduits,2x4’s, 6x6’s, etc.
After all work was done battery still had juice left in it and unit was barely getting “warmed” up.
Not bad, not bad at all...

Solid build on the 60 volt
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Power tools have come along way. This tool offers the power of corded with the ease of batteries. This unit doesn’t feel flimsy in you hands like some other brands I have used. Great run time with the included battery. Quick and easy blade changes. The charger is a nice unit than you get with the 20v tool kits. I do miss the 36v blade holder as you could put a blade in sideways for the really odd cut. Overall a great tool, should last for years

Strong aggressive saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw a more than enough power to cut threw just about anything you want. I would use it more along the lines of a demo saw, as it’s pretty heavy for doing small stuff. I use a sawzall just about everyday for plumbing and this might be a little to heavy for that purpose. I’d recommend it if your cutting through heavy material or a lot of material with this saw and battery combo. Would definitely recommend this combo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] great saw for demo and rough work. heavy but very powerful. as good as coreded. saw is more heavy than the corded but cordless is less cumbersome. tool free blade change. had a few issues charging the battery the first time but i reset the battery in the charger and it works great now. fuel gauge on the battery lets you know the charge level. variable speed trigger for control but this saw is for heavy use.

The heavyweight champion
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes it's heavy but that is what you need to do the job.Have corded Dewalt and Milwaukee recip saws but the cord is a drag literally gets caught in demo work. The 9 amp hour battery lasts for a reasonable amount of time haven't tried the 12 amp on it yet but I'm sure it will impressive. The cooling fan in the motor seamed to be ducted better than my corded saws didn't blow as much sawdust back in my face.

Excellent power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the regular 20v Max DeWalt sawzall for years. When I compare the flexvolt 60v sawzall (with the 9a.h battery) to my 20v Max sawzall the flexvolt is such a higher standard. It's so much more powerful and even more aggressive. It cuts 3" black iron pipe without even slowing down. The 9a.h batter lasts longer and provides better better and it's the best addition to my DeWalt collection so far.

Power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this saw for about a year now and I love it. I have all battery tools because I hate dragging cords. Although the size slightly heavier than a corded saws all definitely definitely makes up for the convenience of not dragging a quarter round. If you’re doing heavy demo you’ll need a couple of batteries, but for medium to light use you’ll be good to go with one battery.

CORDED POWER
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw w/ the 9ah battery almost matches a corded sawzall. It's still lightweight enough to use overhead without getting tired immediately and blade changes take seconds and don't require you grabbing a hot blade for quick switches during use. You will get decent runtime and unless you're doing heavy framing or demo all day you probably won't have to switch the battery.

This thing is a BEAST!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this saw prior to starting a whole house demo / remodel and all I can say is wow! Extremely well built and heavy duty. Power is as good as an electric saw with excellent battery run time. The 60v battery can last for many hours of consistent use. Well worth the price. It’s a little heavy but should be expected with something that takes a beating all day.

Absolutely by far the best!
This sawzall should go by the quote often immigrated but never duplicated. This make and model saw surpasses all of the competitors on the market in every catagory wether it be battery life, durability, comfort, speed, god you name it this sawzall is top of it's class. Only place it lacks in is the size. It not a very compact tool and it's very heavy but the weight helps with smooth steady cuts believe it or not and if your in cutting in a tight spot it compensates for the weight you can't put on the saw to push it through its cut it's got enough of it's own weight. I've used a variety of saw brands and models and this model with a diablo blade is unbelievable. The way it cuts through flawlessly is just impeccable at all angles you could critique at. This battery is like the defenition of what energizer labels there batteries as it keeps going and going. I have cut over fifty two and a half inch pipes with my one batterie and it still has two bars.

HEAVY DUTY!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well built product, I do like how solid it is. Cuts very fast through solid mild steel, it is VERY heavy though. I understand this model is made to rival a corded reciprocating sawnand it does just that,if weight is a factor for you look at Dewalt's other models. I am sure they make one that fits your particular needs perfectly.

I have used this saw now for 8 months. Rain, snow, sleet and shine. I work in the towing industry and gets the job done everything. I used it to cut 78 feet guard rail, cut the frame of a camper, tie rods and many more. It has held up remarkable and it cuts better then most of the other guys saws that are not Dewalt.

Powerful!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw has tons of cutting power! It made more cuts than I could keep track of, didn’t matter if it was wood or steel. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it is heavy. It is built very well and made with good features, can take abuse, and run all day! Good quality saw just heavier than I would like.

Great saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this just in time for a kitchen remodle. It is large and heavy, but that is to be expected. The power outways all that. Used it for some demo and thankfully had it for a large water pipe we had to reroute. The trigger is smooth and easy to use at interval speeds. Love Dewalt, great job on this recip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A lot of power cuts two by fours quick Disconnect for the blade is easy. I demoed a lot of things with this Sawall If you’re working from your chest down it works great if you’re doing overhead it’s a Really heavy. The other really good thing about the Sawall is the battery and it last a long time

The best tool in the Bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cordless, power to last and easy to move around in tight places plus really gets the the rubbish out of the way with very clean cuts and leaves it to easy cleanup and finish a smooth product. Really the best issues are cordless, plenty of power, clean cuts and easy of multi directional cutting.

Power House. Like corded without the cord.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Power House. This tool has the power of a corded saw without the cord. It is a little on the heavy side but knowing the battery will last well and the saw will preform is enough to offset the weight drawback. Over all I am satisfied with the tools performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to cut 6”x6” green treated beams. I was blown away that I could do cuts in under 30 seconds. Used a 3TPI blade. 20 cuts later and still had half a charge on the included 9.0 battery. This saw is heavy compared to the 20v version.
