20V MAX XR 10Ah Lithium Ion Battery

I'll preface this review with the fact that I'm a big Dewalt fan and own dozens of tools from their 20v product line. About 2 years ago I bought their 20v 21.5 inch walk behind push mower that came with two of these batteries. I used it for less than 2 seasons (<50 charge cycles). Went to cut the grass for the first time this year and one of them won't charge past one bar....tried multiple chargers without success. In searching on the internet, this is apparently a common issues with these 10Ah batteries. I love the mower, but it's essentially useless without a second 10Ah battery, and I'm not willing to buy another one knowing how often they fail.

I love my lawnmower!! My husband bought it for me. It worked great all season last year. Now my first time using it one of the batteries won’t charge fully therefore I can’t cut my grass all at once. I have read other reviews with the same issue. I’m wondering what DeWalt is doing to fix this issue. I truly love how easy it is to start the machine I’m a short lady so a pull start gives me issues. It’s only been 1 year since our purchase the batteries should last a lot longer than that. I would have given a 5 star rating if the batteries were both working to get the job done. And I would recommend this mower. I have in fact but I don’t know that I will continue to.

Same issue as everyone else here, bought my mower summer of last year and got a few uses out of it and really liked it. Second cut this season and one of the batteries will no longer charge so my mower starts then stops once it touches the grass. I have DeWalt for all my other handheld power tools and have never had this issue with any of the batteries, so either the mower is killing the battery in some way or these batteries are just bottom of the barrel quality. Will not be buying another one because I won't spend half the cost of the mower for a replacement battery every season. Also, to give an idea of the size of my lawn, it can be done in about 30 minutes with weed whacking.

Received two of these 10AH batteries with the DeWalt mower we purchased in July 2022. After a couple of uses, one of the batteries failed to charge. We made a warranty claim to DeWalt and after several weeks we received a replacement for the defective battery. We are now (mid-Feb. 2023) we are getting ready for our spring maintenance and neither of the batteries is charging. So the mower is useless because of bad batteries. Not the type of quality I have come to expect from my experience with DeWalt power tools. Very disappointing.

Bought a Dewalt mower that came with 2 of these batteries in late ~November 2021. Was fine in 2022 using it every other week or so in the summer. Only charged batteries the day before I planned to use as to try and maximize their lifespan. However, this year one of the batteries shows full charge but won’t run the drill or weed eater for more than 1 minute before they stop. And the mower is useless right now. Instead of buying a new battery, I’m now searching for an adapter to use a different brand battery in the mower.

Bought the mower that came with two of these batteries as a year-end closeout in 2021. Used it sporadically during 2022 as a trim mower to get into a couple places my 61" Ferris ISX800 won't fit. After a few uses this year, I have a dead battery even though it shows two bars. The mower works when using other Dewalt batteries, so it isn't an issue with the mower itself. The charger is fine with other batteries. There can't be more than 5-10 total hours on the mower/batteries as I only use it for about 10-15 minutes at a time. For the cost of replacing the batteries, I'll just by a Honda-powered gas mower. Was hoping to swap to the full line of battery-powered Dewalt outdoor tools, but given all of the battery issues, I'll go with Stihl if I ever attempt to abandon gas again...

I have two of these batteries for use in my DeWalt mower and string trimmer. Purchased all in 2021, and now the batteries will not fully charge. It's nearly impossible to get the mower to start. This is incredibly disappointing, as we really loved the mower when it was still operational - it's quiet and does a wonderful job. We are now shopping for a new mower because the cost to replace the batteries is nearly the cost of a mower. Will not be purchasing DeWalt products again.

Bought the DeWalt push mower. Came with two 10ah batteries. One of the batteries will not hold or take a charge anymore. I thought this would be the last mower I bought buy these batteries are going to cause me a big time head ache. DON'T BUY THESE BATTERIES!!! There is a deep rooted problem for some reason or another with them. There are alot more 1 star reviews then any other. wish I would have done my home work and read up on these batteries first, Massive DeWalt fail!
