    Schlumbergera: maintenance tips

    A cactus with thornless stems and trumpet-shaped flowers in red, pink, orange or white.

    Common name: Zygocactus or Christmas cactus

    Exposure

    Bright light, no direct sunlight. Likes cool temperatures, especially at night.

    Watering

    Water as required, allowing the potting soil to dry out between waterings, without accumulating water in the saucer.

    Repotting

    A plant that likes to be snug. If necessary, repot every 3 years in specialized cactus potting soil.

    Fertilization

    Fertilize every 2 weeks, from March to September, with a fertilizer for succulents.
