Easy Camera Setup and Availability

The physical act of setting up the camera could not have been simpler.
The software side of setup was a little tricky; it took a while to 'find' the camera on my network. But after a few minutes of delay and a retry all went well. Having the camera available anywghere and other options, like Amazon Key is perfect. One point, is that the camera is 100% electric, which means it must have an available outlet.

Bad storage and notification system

I'm paying for a monthly subscription that most of the times doesn't even allow me to see the video recordings. its either a bad server connection, a spinning thing or sorry can't play clip. it's so frustrating! The notifications are always late, buy the time I get a notification that someone is at the front door they have already left. The cameras are set to only notify when a person is seen but i get notified of every car, dog or cat that passes by but not when i get home or anyone else does. what a bad service....
When you click on the app to view the camera, the sound doesn't come on....i have to open it three four times to have the sound come on. When I try to speak over the camera, they can hear me and if they do the sound is all distorted. I really thought that the cameras would work much better based on the positive reviews that I ready prior to me getting them.....

Simple easy to use

It’s great for simple cameras around the house. We put it in the garage. The imaging isn’t as great as ring but it works well enough to see who’s coming around. Set up was easy. Phone app is easy. It’s perfect for someone not wanting high tech but just want the safety of seeing around your house.

MyQ Garage Camera Has A Very Narrow Field Of View.

I indtalled theMyQ Garage Camera per instructions and it was a breezy, up and running in no time. After the install everything went down hill. The camera functioned very good but its field of vew was verry narrow and left to many dead spots from view. If the camera had a better Wide-angle lens installed to cover all aeeas of the garage instead of only the middle it would be a much better product.

Easy to use and large video area recorded

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter took the camera and had it up and running in the app installed on her phone and just a couple minutes. It was that easy. She is 13 1/2 years old! Of course she didn’t want to put it in the garage …that’s boring … so she put it on the dog food stand! she gets interesting video clips of the dogs and the family  whenever they walk by, which is also right next to our door that goes out to the garage so she knows when everybody’s coming home or ! She sees as every time the dogs drink or eat!!! it has been a lot of fun and she’s able to see the dogs and talk to them when she’s gone from the house. I gave a four star simply because you do need to have an outlet nearby in order to use the camera. Plus the microphone is not very loud when trying to talk into the camera or through the phone out of the camera. Other than that, it’s super easy to use and the wide angle gets a lot of video captured.

Great security camera for the garage!

I love that I can check when my child gets home from school or when we are gone for a long weekend. It even works great at night and has pretty clear pictures as you can see from the post. I am happy with my garage door being a dumb system. This subscription model is a scam. I would not have paid for the camera option had I known that ahead of time as I will not be using it. The network engineer leaves a lot to be desired as well, another weak IoT device to add to your network making it easier for the new wave of thieves and hackers to gain entry to your home.

Slow and Choppy

I bought five of these cameras, in hopes that they were a great product to add to my garage security system. I found out that the cameras were spotty and difficult to connect to my network and stay connected at all times. Therefore, I opted to send the cameras back for a full refund, they may work well for someone else but unfortunately they did not work well for me.

Garage Opener is great! Camera is just a toy!

Very basic camera, small display on iPhone combined with lots of latency bringing up the stream makes it almost useless to view traffic in our garage. When door open alert is received by the time I click on start stream, anyone entering the garage is already in the house. Upon initial installation got a lot of false "people" and "motion" alerts. Had to turn that off.

camera problems

I am not happy with it It won't connect to my Iphone 15. I cant see the video unless I delete the App and reinstall. then it only works one time and freezes up. the internet signal is good. I can open & close the garage doors with no problems unless I click on the picture when its unsuccessfully searching for the live picture then the button on the phone won't work.

Overall good camera and connects to the garage opener. I am giving it 2 stars because you can not view video history unless you sign up for a paid subsciption to view video incidents.
There are plenty of cameras out there that would give you a certain amount of free video incidents for free or you can use an SD Card.
I would not recommend this camera.

Horrible night vision-Poor quality picture

The night vision on mine is horrible. The image is so poor that i can barely see what's in the garage, let alone the garage door. I tried different settings/angles, location, same horrible picture. I would not recommend this model at all. May someday throw it away or get the outdoor model with the higher resolution, but for now, it's just useless to me

Picks up movement a ways away

My search for a magnetic camera has ended!

This would work great in a garage but I’m using it on my entry patio since I can’t screw anything into the stucco! It securely attaches to my storage door without any damage to the building. Good device for added security

Clear, crisp, responsive camera with good AI detection. It has a darker display than my previous non-MyQ garage camera. I wish I could link the camera to more than one garage door. I haven't used the audio functions. It's pricey IMO compared to other smart home wired cameras, but I bought it on a Black Friday promotion for almost half off.

Installation was simple.
- Remove the product from the box
- Place camera in desired location (with an available outlet, and within wifi range)
- Download app (it basically walks you through the install process)
- Create an account (for the free 30 day trial/view history feature)
- Check if camera works
Live feed worked decent, as well as being able to review previous footage. No lag. Camera quality was good enough, able to determine who walks by/get enough details of the overall room (mine was installed in my garage). The bottom of the camera is magnetic, so I just found a surface for it to cling to.
After my trial was over, most of the useful features were removed (which is understandable), and plenty of advertisements now display prominently within the app (also understandable, but unwanted and makes the app a chore to navigate/unpleasant to look at). Now I use it to double check if I've closed my garage door.

Camera greasy but doesn’t attach to plastic case

I have had this camera for a couple of years and have loved it. However, I replaced my Liftmaster opener with a Chamberlain that has a plastic case. What do you suggest, Chamberlain, on how to mount the camera using the magnet base? You should have put a metal plate behind the plastic. I expected my camera would mount the same.

Good camera for a good price.

Works as advertised. The magnetic base makes installation very easy. I had some trouble setting it up but the tech team knew immediately what was wrong. The font size on my phone was set too large and that interfered with pairing. I have no idea why this would be the case but I decreased the font size and it paired immediately.

Issues with camera

The notifications link does not work correctly. You push the notification to not video when garage is closed and still does.Plus sensitivity needs some work,camera goes off with garage closed when a car drives by. Plus you have to have a subscription to keep camera working correctly. I should of just installed a Blink cameras.....

Now, I have to find and buy one which is odd because, usually products come with multiple ones. Seems like a money grab. Camera gives view of garage but sound coming out is very low. Don't appreciate that it seems that the only way to capture video in the long term is to pay an unclear yearly amount. If there was an external SD slot that would be useful but then you would not get the extra income... Product ok but could be better.
