Great camera great price!!! Got this to monitor when my garage door was “accidentally opened”. I do have camera mounted on top of garage door but hard to see if the garage is opened or not sometimes so this solves the problem. You need a subscription to record video but I already have this on other cameras so no need. Good enough pic quality,
It did stop working once and I just threw it in my junk box for a few months and decided to give it another go. It was not connecting but realized I needed to connect camera to app again and we back in service. So don’t do what I did!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fact that this camera can handle substantial temperature and element changes is a benefit enough to buy this camera. I’ve had other brands in the past and the winter months would cause problems with those cameras so this brand was a breath of fresh air. Night or day, winter or summer it can handle it! Unlike other brands where you need to use a drill to mount the camera, this camera can be mounted to any metallic surface. The magnet is powerful and stays in place perfectly. This company really makes setting up their products and accessing the app for the product easy as can be.

It was very easy to setup and had a magnetic mount. You control all of the features in the My Q app. I really like the piece of mind of being able to monitor my home while I’m gone (or even when I’m inside so I know who is coming in and out).

Camera is ok, but software is slow

The camera works fine. But the software is really slow - alerts come in several
Minutes after the events happens and the video is not available to for awhile . This make the camera basically useless to alert you to something happening.
I installed it in my garage. I work at home and want to see who’s coming home when the garage opens. But the delay of several minutes meant my family member would already be inside the house and talking to me by the time I’d be alerted by the camera. And then several more minutes before I could access’s the video.
In comparison, my Ring Doorbell camera notifies me right away to motion and the video is available in seconds.
So I eventually took down this camera and replaced it with another Ring camera…

Automatic Garage door

I am very pleased with this product. It does everything it says. I went on YouTube and watched a video of how to install, which was very simple. It even has a timer so it shuts your garage at whatever time you want each day if you forget. It sends me notifications on my phone when the garage opens and closes so I know who’s coming and going and I also bought the additional camera that is hooked up in the garage with it so as soon as the garage opens or closes, the camera shows who’s coming and going. well worth the purchase. Highly recommend.

I wanted a camera specifically for inside if garage and got an opportunity to try this smart garage camera. Video quality is good, even at night. It has motion detector which sends mobile alert when there is any motion in the garage. You can directly control opening and closing of garage gate through myQ app after installing this camera in garage. Instruction to install camera is easy.
Even my friends are impressed with the functionality and clarity of this smart device.

I did set it up in the house and will get my husband to attach to the garage door opener when he gets home because I can’t get that high but the camera works amazingly and it’s very clear. the app was very easy to set up barely took any steps. Plus I love that it lets you know of it detects a person. My kids love playing in the garage and this is a great way to watch the kids in the garage or when they are by the garage riding their bikes. Definitely a plus and I’m getting another one for the porch. Thank you.

The camera is very compact and easy to mount. Unfortunately, the picture quality is subpar. When the camera goes from a dark interior of the garage to a sunlight brighten exterior view when the garage door opens, the picture completely bleaches out and is very slow to adjust.
The audio function of the camera is also below standards. Most of the time you can’t even hear what the person is saying.
My final critique of this garage camera is that unless it is sitting on top of the strongest Wi-Fi signal source, it takes a long time to load up.

There are several ways to improve your Wi-Fi connection for your device, including moving your router closer to your device or purchasing a Wi-Fi extender. The myQ Smart Garage Camera must be within 50 feet of your Wi-Fi router if it is broadcasting a 5GHz signal. If you connect to a 2.4GHz signal, your router can be up to 150ft in distance. To ensure best performance, it is recommended to have your myQ Camera connected to a 2.4GHz network. If you're still having issues, please get in touch with us at support.chamberlaingroup.com

It’s easy to install and set up the app which makes it easy to get you up and running quickly. The price of the camera is slightly cheaper than other without losing any quality making it a great value. The only downfall for me, which has nothing to do with the actual camera itself was that I already have a different brand set up so once I installed this, it became the use of two apps to monitor my home instead of one.

Smart Garage Camera

The SGC2WCH smart garage camera installed with no difficulties. Being able to see the garage door entry remotely was a big plus to my existing smart garage control system, MYQ-G0401. The camera allows me to live stream video. However, one has to subscribe to the video serice (at a monthly cost) in order to activate motion detection and capture videos. I had hoped that it woul be possible to turn on motion detection at least and get a notification on the phone app to know when there is motion without capturing a video recording.

Worst cámara purchase

Save your money and buy a different brand. We got the garage indoor cam and we have nothing but problems with connection. We get notification all the time of movement but when we try to connect to see what’s going on we get an error message. Had a wize brand cámara similar to this and decided to change to match our other garage door goodies. Now we will go back to a wize brand as is seems to have way better software available, also i believe if you are not on their subscription plans your dont even get a basic working device.

Good but needs subscription

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was super excited about trying this camera! Overall it’s pretty nice and super easy to set up. Plus it has a magnet that helps make mounting it easier. However two things I didn’t realize is one it has to be plugged into an outlet to use it. Two you can only live stream the camera unless you pay for a subscription to do anything else relating to the camera including having it save everything it records. So if you don’t mind paying for a monthly/yearly subscription to use this product to its fullest capacity it’s a good deal.

Need a camera?? Forget this one!!

Wish I had never ordered it..can’t seen to stop it from alerting..I’m working in my garage ..my wife is in a meeting at work, constantly getting buzzed..and buzzed about an intruder in the garage..turned off detection( where’s the refresh) on the app? Of snooze alerts?? Had to remove the camera!! Doesn’t appear to be fit for the ordinary purpose for which it was intended..also alerts at mysterious times at night..door closed..nothing going on..guess it just wanted to wake me..and have me look..

Chamberlain garage door opener and Siri

I have had a Chamberlian door for many many years. I wanted to be able to use Siri and found I had to by a bridge to do so. I loved this idea. On the way home from work I could ask Siri to open the garage door. Well Chamberlian just dropped all their party app support and you can no longer link to anything to use Siri in the manner. That sucks and it cost me money to make all this happen only to have the option turned off. Chamberlain was please reconsider and renew your partner ship

Virtually Useless Without a Subscription

I bought this a couple of months ago. Performance was good as expected. Very pleased with that aspect. However, to record door openings and closings, I would have to purchase a subscription. All of have now is a myQ camera, no video record. I had to purchase another vendor's camera to be able to record on an SD card. It works great. Too bad the myQ camera does not offer an SD card option. I recommend not buying this camera if you don't want a subscription. Buy one that can do either.

Worthless without a monthly subscription

Disappointed. I gave it a try because of a favorable price promotion on the MyQ app. But this camera has no SD card, meaning the only way you'll get to see "what happened in my garage" is if you sign up for the online subscription. That is, of course, unless you just happen to be monitoring it live when something unexpected happens. Instead, consider a simple camera from Wyze or Yi Home. Virtually similar features plus an SD card, so you can record activity and review it later if needed.

We have the camera hooked up to an outer in our garage. It was easy to setup and the MyQ Mobile App was quick to download. The video quality is good and the camera has a wide angle view so we are able to view our entire garage , and the video quality is great. We are very happy with the MyQ Smart Garage Camera. I definitely recommend this camera for anyone in the market.

The base of the camera has a very strong magnet and it is just plug and connect using the app. The image quality is superb and it has a lot of other functions like motion detection, night vision and build in microphones etc. it comes with a 30 day free plan for trial. The company also makes smart garage door opener which I think I should get one too!

There is a magnet in the bottom of the holder and you just attach it to any metal surface. We put it out on our patio. We have a 2-story wall and put it up high, so no one can just take it off without being seen. The app is easy to install and it was easy to connect the camera as well. Video quality is good also. I would recommend this product.

They’re almost there…

The app wasn’t very user friendly as far as sending me a heads up when someone entered the garage. It didn’t save the videos or snapshots very well either, and the night vision was rather poor. Setup was very simple and easy however. Checking in via live stream always seemed to have buffering issues. The replacement camera setup brand I won’t mention has no problems at all. This just mean the Chamberlain is still working out a few minor bugs is all.

Good quality videos

The quality of the videos are good, even in the dark. The only downside is that to have the camera record, you have to pay for a subscription. We have other security cameras that record videos without a subscription but if you want extra features, you pay for a subscription.

Garage security camera

The camera has no night Vision to speak of so if you want to monitor your garage whether you're in your home or out and about you will not be able to see anything unless the door is open or lights are left on it was also difficult for me to connect with the MyQ app as I had to call tech support and me talk through the process which took quite some time however the person I spoke with was very patient and very friendly
