A slight issue

The unit doe s great job. However when it is off the flapper can oscillate depending on the outside wind. The valve tapping then can get annoying.

Had a problem with one of the two bathroom exhaust fan motors making louder than nomal noise, they sent me a new motor and it works great

its rated a 2 on noise level but it is loud. Not sure why something like this is even made. It does work well as far as sucking air out.

Louder than the old unit I replaced

This thing echoes and is loud. Can’t believe it’s rated at 2 sones. The original unit from the 80’s I replaced for this was quieter.

Hi NickA, We are disappointed to learn of your experience with the AR80X model. The shorter and straighter the duct run, the better the sound and performance will be. This model should be using a 4" duct size. There should be two feet of straight duct before and after any elbow or bend. If there is an elbow directly off the housing or connecting directly to the roof/wall cap, this will affect the sound and performance. We would be happy to go over the installation with you and determine if this is an installation issue or a fan issue.
