30-inch Pyramidale Kitchen Hood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a landlord, one of the commonly encountered problems is trying to remember what goes with what; when possible, we buy either the exact same paint/colors, appliances etc but that can limit deals that may arise. Enter this - it's convertible which means it will match with any/either configuration to vent or recirculate as needed....something that changes from house to house. The 450 rating means it can really move the air unlike standard build models that are both loud and inefficient. Washable filters, classic stainless finish and basic lighting with easy and intuitive controls. Plus, it's made by Broan which is a trusted name. Nice to see such a good upgrade to the line!

I purchased this hood range because your FAQ stated it would be hard-wired. It did not, it has a plug that sticks out 1 1/4" out of outlet and presses against the round duct. The HVAC contractor did not plumb the duct properly, and we need to shift it to the left, where the plug is, but can't. I highly RECOMMEND that you provide a flat face type of plug that would only protrude 3/4" out of outlet to make it easier to plumb the duct without crimping it. We now have a huge problem. Other than this, the hood fan is very quiet and efficient, and the lighting is excellent.

Also has two LED lights that provide clear visibility. The hood is quiet, I have to double check to make sure I turn it off sometimes. Its sleek pyramidal design and 30-inch width make it a perfect fit for many kitchen layouts. Installation is straightforward, and the durable steel construction ensures extended durability. I'm very happy with this range hood.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Broan Range Hood is absolutely gorgeous! My husband loves to cook and really wanted a chef's kitchen at our new house. This hood was a huge upgrade from our old over stove microwave! It has helped reduce the amount of smoke that use to fill up our kitchen when cooking on our gas stove. I am really happy with how well it works and how we no longer have to deal with our smoke alarms going off every time we cook!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hood has really classed up my kitchen! I have been slowly updating my 1997 home and kitchen. This piece was just what my kitchen needed. Installation was fairly straight forward but did take some time and skill of my handy husband. We also had to remove a couple cabinets to make it work. The stainless finish is definitely top of the class as is the construction. I expected it to last for many years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Broan 30 in. Convertible Wall Mount Pyramidal Chimney Range Hood in Stainless Steel in exchange for my honest review. I could not be more impressed and pleased with this exhaust fan. It is very powerful at 450 max CFM's yet it is not loud at all, even when using any of the 3 fan speeds. It works perfectly to vent out smoke and odor, and the fan filters are dishwasher safe for cleaning. We chose to vent outside because our unit was placed on an exterior wall. The 2 LED lights only have one setting, on or off, but they are placed near the front of the unit, which I love, and they are bright to light my cooking range perfectly. This fan also has a very smart 5 minute function which allows the fan to continue running for 5 minutes and then turn itself off. Best of all, this exhaust fan is simple but so attractive and it looks perfect with all of my other stainless steel appliances.

It’s not as quiet as I thought it would be, it vibrates my kitchen. Also we have it vented but it’s not sucking up any steam it just blows it forward out into the kitchen. Is there something we missed in the installation? We have it out using our old ranges duct.

Homeowner bought two of these for his suite. Units won’t sit flush against wall because of numerous screws protruding at the back. Mounting bracket only compounds the problem. Unit is sitting away from wall, thus chimney isn’t thigh against wall either.
