BMR GROUP OPENS ITS FIRST BMR PRO IN QUÉBEC

Trois-Rivières, September 16, 2019 – BMR Group and its dealer Pierre Naud are proud to open, today, the very first BMR Pro in Québec: a unique concept that has never been seen before in the province. Resulting from an investment of over $2 million, BMR Pro Pierre Naud, located at 2250 Boulevard des Récollets in Trois-Rivières, will be a true flagship store for the entire network.

A Place Designed for Contractors, but Accessible to All

Specifically developed to meet contractors’ and handymen’s needs, the BMR Pro banner is the place to go for any renovation projects. As well as offering a wide range of locally sourced products, these stores set themselves apart by offering high-quality building materials at very competitive prices. Whether for the layout of the aisles, the design of the store, the entrance reserved for them or the 100% PRO counter, contractors will see all their needs satisfied.

“We are very excited to unveil the very first BMR Pro in the province. This is a new concept that reasserts BMR’s expertise in the building materials industry. Simply put, our store is where contractors feel right at home, says Pascal Houle, BMR Group’s Chief Executive Officer. Introducing this new store with Pierre Naud, owner of a store located in Mauricie since 1890, is certainly something very exciting for us. Together, we will continue to promote the know-how of the local people and provide consumers with services, materials and products of excellent quality,” he adds.

BMR Pro, which boasts a very modern industrial look, is one of the three traditional BMR banners, namely the BMR Classic banner, which makes a vast array of hardware products and building materials available to everyone, and BMR Express, which is composed of smaller hardware stores that offer consumers more common products and a highly customized service.

A new beginning for the Trois-Rivières Pierre Naud store

As you may remember, in September 2017, the Trois-Rivières hardware store was destroyed by fire only a few weeks after the completion of major renovation works. The Lebel brothers, Marc-André and Phillipe, showed great determination and continued their business activities from a construction trailer while their store was being refitted.

The set-up of the temporary store also helped the store maintain a maximum of jobs. Furthermore, the reopening of the store under the BMR Pro banner is going to provide twenty additional jobs.

On site for the store opening were Jean Lamarche, Mayor of the City of Trois-Rivières, Robert Aubin, member of Parliament for the city, Pascal Houle, CEO of BMR Group, as well as Hugo Girard, strongman and BMR ambassador.
