Twisting rivet tool

Needed a rivet tool to install a shelf on my smoker. I was able to get get this into the area and insert the rivets. It comes with pretty much every size of rivet insert that you should ever need. The only complaints that I may have, is that with the short overall length. It does take a little bit of force to get it done. Yes the young generation might be able to handle it with ease, us older folks may have to use both hands. THe other would be, that I wish it would have come with an assortment of rivets. If it would have, I probably could have completed my task with those, instead of having to buy a large variety package.

Had a small job to rivet on a hinge, could not figure out why I couldn't set the rivet. noticed the gun split down the center of the housing. Left me with half of a job not done. The gun has been used less then 20 times. Reviewed the specs on the gun and was very disappointed to see the call out the gun is all steel construction when obviously the housing is made of cast aluminum. Seems like a total misleading spec callout. Thought I was buying the top of the line rivet gun, turns out spent way to much money on a very large disappointment. If you need a gun to rivet everyday for professional use, do not purchase this unit.

This appeared to be a quality tool and has a good feel. The swivel head is a good idea. I'd run approximately 12 aluminum nail 1/8" rivets through it with no issues. Switched to a 3/16" steel nail rivet. First off, even after lubing the riveter, it took nearly all the strength I had to pop the rivets. On the third rivet, the head split down the middle on the end, almost all the way to the nose. Additional smaller splits are also present on the sides of the head about 3/"8 back from the end face (the the large split is).The body of the head needs to be thicker or something other than what appears to be cast aluminum/zinc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was just looking for supplies to repair some parts on SeaDoo I purchased when I found an Arrow swivel head rivet tool. I knew I would have more than a few places that I would struggle to get the fasteners into without having to remove parts of the engine and air filters. I thought it was a gimmick tool but worth a try. I can not believe how much easier it was to get to some crazy locations in a very tight spaces. I wish I would have purchased this tool years ago but this was the first time I had found anything like this in my local hardware store. I highly recommend the swivel head for anyone looking to purchased a new tool or even to add to an existing tool collection!

It is an upgrade to models like the RHT300, but there is no review page for the new RT300S currently. I even convinced my wife to do the last rivet and then we watched a video about the Rosie ladies of WWII. Together, we tackled a repair that had been postponed for a long time. The RT300S made it so quick and easy, I felt silly for taking so long to buy a tool some rivets. I thought the process would be more complicated than it was. The RT300S has a universal head to fit different rivet sizes with no fumbling required. I only leave reviews when I feel like I got my money's worth. I'm honestly ranting & raving about the RT300S.

Ordered the Tool online, and received it today. While I didn't have an immediate project requiring its use, I was anxious to try it out and compare to another rivet gun I have successfully used at another location. When I opened the package, A loose small nylock hex jam nut fell out; and the tool did not work. Upon further inspection, it became obvious that the nut was not attached to the pull rod needed for the tool to work. After about 1 1/2 hours (and with a good set of tools) I was able to disassemble, attach the nut, and reassemble the unit. It then worked properly. Hopefully it will continue to do us when I begin project work. I do like the swivel head feature, and long lever arms.

I bought this riveter some time ago 'cos it looked good and I thought the rotating head was a good idea. When my father in law backed his car into my garage door I thought I had the ideal tool to replace the damaged rivets. How wrong can you be!! Having straightened out the door I began reassembly. On the first rivet the head split longitudinally in three places leaving the rivet totally unscathed. The casting quality is good but the metal used isn't. If a replacement head is available, I will replace it and keep the thing for light work - I still like the rotating head.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to rivet some aluminum duct-type sheet metal together to make squirrel guards for my bird feeders. So I got this good looking rivet gun that reminded me of one I used in my younger days. I'm 70 years old. When I used it, it was very quickly obvious that I don't have the strength anymore to make the rivet gun work. Just getting one rivet done was a challenge. It was a sad jerk into reality, so now I'll buy a squirrel guard instead of getting the satisfaction of making my own. But that's not Arrow's fault, of course. If I were a younger person this would be a most excellent all-round rivet gun, and its constructed I think to last a lifetime. If you're under age 70, you'll want to give it serious consideration.
