Outstanding

My employer provided us with these masks in case we needed them but we never did. After Covid-19 hit, this respirator proved to be a lifesaver as I had to work among some people who did not believe in wearing a mask. Although many of them contracted the virus, some infecting their family members, I never did. For the past two years I don one whenever I go out in public even in the summer when Covid #'s went down. I strongly believe that this mask has helped to keep me safe and I wouldn't think of wearing anything else! Careful, there are counterfeit ones out there!
Yes, I recommend this product.

3M Particulate Respirator
I work in a school setting and have a very high exposure to all of the students and staff. I am exposed at times to body fluids, chlorine, and other cleaning agent gases, There are also a lot of odors and fluids from trash (food, etc.). I have had confidence in this mask, which has blocked particles that come from all of the items I mentioned above. The mask has a snug fit, and there is room to breathe. Two straps make it hold securely, and the nose clip is adjustable and does not allow air to fog glasses.
A few reviewers did not care for the rubber bands that serve as security straps. There are times they will catch on my hair, but I have not experienced any breakage and they are easy to keep clean as I go through the day.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Not satisfied

Fogs up my glasses which means not a perfect seal and several of the mask’s elastic bands have broke while wearing, leaving me holding the mask to my face. Still slightly better than the KN95 Japan junk masks that not only fog up my glasses, and also straps break, but they don’t provide the protection the n95 is supposed to provide. Not sure if there is much different but hope these N95 masks are protecting me better. I wouldn’t buy as as many as I purchased but good until you can find better protection. I am looking for a better N95 mask

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Per the user instructions on the box, pre-stretching of the 8210 head strap is required prior to the initial use.
It is also very important to always follow the model-specific user instructions for your respirator and to do a user seal check (fit check) before each use. Remember, the better the seal, the more of the air that you breathe goes through the filter.

Excellent product, but read the instructions.

This is an excellent product. I would order it again. INFO: (1) You do not have to order a case of 160 masks. If you are an individual consumer, you can order a box of 20. (2) All N95 and KN95 masks have a slight odor that comes from the chemicals in the filters. The odor bothers some people. You should let the mask air out before using it. (3) The masks should not be stored in a sealed plastic bag. They come in a plastic bag that is open at one end. You should store them the same way, so they are open to room air. WARNING: You must follow the instructions for hand-stretching the straps before you put on the mask. Some people did not read the instructions, and did not hand-stretch their masks, and they said that the straps were too tight, or they broke.
Yes, I recommend this product.

One size does not fit most
I have used 3M products for years and never had a fit problem. I am a size medium but I could not find a box of medium so I decided to purchase the one size fits most box. Apparently most people are a size small because these masks have to be on the tip of my nose to go over my chin. The straps did not break for me after pre-stretching but I can see where others can run into this problem because the straps do not stretch evenly. If you are not careful you can over stretch a section and risk breakage.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Mask Review
The mask itself is well built and will hold its shape over an expended period of time. The metal nose piece is a decent guage that will also hold its shape if wearing the mask over a several day/week period with ease. The weak point of the mask is the thin elastic straps. My intention was to find a similar model with thin rubber strands woven together. Thus, if a strand broke the strap as a whole will not break. This model only consists of a thin elastic and will start to show signs of deterioration/warping after a few hours from friction and heat. The straps will also elongate as more heat is applied and the longer the mask is worn. I fully understand that this mask is intended for single use.
Does its job well. Weak point in the straps. If wearing for one or two days it is a great product.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Good mask
These are great masks for the price. The mask itself appears to be identical to the former 3M 8210 plus. The straps, however, are not the same. On the 8210 plus masks 3M used a very robust, elastic fabric material that was extremely durable and flexible. Why do big companies always change what is working so well? For just a few cents a mask, they could put much better straps on these. I hate throwing away good masks just because cheap straps have failed.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Some of the strap breakage may be due to not stretching the straps prior to donning. Please see the box and user instructions on how to pre-stretch the straps before putting on the respirator.

BUT
The weakness of the mask lies in breakage of yellow straps which shears on approximately 10 uses which I think is more because of packaging defect as 20 numbers are crammed and this puts pressure on the straps by folding them thereby making them weak at those points leading to shears. It gives a good tight fit until it shears. Strap material has to be changed to give it a longer life. I am using these masks since the outbreak of coronavirus.
Yes, I recommend this product.
