Command self-stick hook

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a large pack of the mini hooks to hang strings of mini lights around my daughters' room. The walls were clean and smooth. I followed the directions exactly as directed on the package. I used 1 hook every six inches to ensure that there was not too much weight even though the strings are very light weight. I waited two hours before hanging the lights. Within a half hour over half fell off. I bought these particularly because they were small and clear so they wouldn't look out of place. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this product. For price and the reputation of Command I expected better.

I would not like to think about all the holes I've had to patch in all the years before the Mini Hooks. The product has saved me alot of work after Christmas. I use them to hang ornaments on all my oak woodwork and I have not had a problem getting them off. They are the greatest for hanging the ornaments in my windows, archways and doors. They don't break like I thought they would and I can reuse them for many years. My only problem is that in my area I cannot seem to find refills of the mounting tabs. So I have alot of hooks with no tabs. I will still buy packages to use for the Holidays. THEY ARE FANTASTIC.

All my other hooks have held up fine, but one of them fell off after I hung a tank top on the string I tied to the hook. It's a tank top. The string and the tank top aren't more than half a pound. Followed directions and everything. It would hold my tank top before, but today I put it on and the hook snapped off my wall and chipped my new layer of black paint. Went to see if it would stick back on and it wouldn't. Peeled the sticky to see if at least that feature worked. It did. But I don't have any black paint to fix what the hook did so I guess I'll have to buy more to cover that spot.

I really wanted it to work so I could decorate my new home without making holes all over my walls. I followed the directions step by step, but the product refused to stay on the wall, even if I didn't hang anything on the hook. I would stay maybe ten minutes and then fall to the floor. I tried a few different times using a new strip each time. I did not use on wall paper, the surface is not vinyl, walls were not wet/humid and the temp. in my home is about 65 degrees F. Very disappointed.

These are great at keeping decor on walls, but they are terrible to take off of the wall. I was moving furniture and decided to move my small mirror that was hanging on the wall with these hooks. I looked at the directions to see how to take them off to make sure my wall wouldn’t get damaged, so I followed the directions and it ripped off part of my wall the size of a penny!!! WHAT THE HECK... long story short these are terrible to take off and I had no choice but to tape the piece of my wall back on!!!

These won't hold up in humid conditions. I've had 3 of these fall off of walls in various rooms in my house over the past couple weeks. Luckily, nothing has broken so far. It's been a rainy spring in Texas and I think the humidity is the reason. The items I have hanging on these are very lightweight, definitely less than the 1/2-lb limit. In some cases, the adhesive stays attached the wall and the hook falls off. In others, the hook fell off and took the adhesive with it, as well as some of my paint!

I bought the command strips to hold the lighted garland around my door. I recently (october) repainted my front door, door surround, and porch, so I did not want to staple the decorations as I've done in the past. I went out and bought some command hooks to hold everything. I followed the directions to a T and within 24 hours, most of the hooks had fallen off and my decorations were a mess. I followed the directions again and placed the 4 remaining hooks up as well. Half of these stayed and I used masking tape to make the rest stay. When we got home from visiting our families for Christmas, my decorations were all over the porch and some of the hooks had ripped off and ripped my newly painted paint off with them. I am not pleased at all. They're supposed to be "damage free" and easy to remove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these hook to hide a cord for lights on my fireplace mantle. Instead of having the cord distract from the beautiful decorations I placed the mini hooks at 4 inch intervals , close the the wall. The white cord tucked in nicely and I continued this to the floor , all the way to the outlet. The white color cord and white hooks blended in with wood work and the cord remained hidden. After holiday , they were so easy to remove, wouldn't have know they were ever there.
